  1. Great result for Nissan with their fist 1 - 2 finish in a long time. Winton appears to be a track that requires good mid corner speed and power down out of corners and these are two things that the Nissans are doing well. What is required is some more straight line speed for them to be competitive at other tracks.
  2. From the angle in the picture it looks as though the shaft could go further onto the spline, how far does the shaft extend into the spline?. Have you tried loosening the lock bolt, applying WD40 or something similar on the spline and then seeing if it can slide in further.
  3. Looking good mate With the new diff you should have better power down and you will now have stopping power with those new brakes. I cannot believe how good the car looks with GTR rims.
  4. That is a standard function on a R33 - if you have the keys in the ignition and open the door then it beeps to tell you to take the keys out of the ignition. It is common in a number of Jap cars as our Mazda's also do the same thing.
  5. Bad luck with the timing of this night as it clashes with my daughter's birthday so we will not be attending. Clinton and I have been to a tech night at Heasman's in the past and it was very informative. One of our GTS-T's would have been a good demo car as has Bilstein PSS9 coil overs from a GTR all round. It runs modified top mounting plates in the front and a full GTR rear end.
  6. I have one that you can have complete with the pipe including the flange for $50 plus postage. Here are a few pictures Please PM me if you are interested.
  7. From my experience it is important to have all of the hangers connected as it then stops the exhaust from rotating along its axis and rubbing on things - the tail shaft normally. In my case this is compounded by the pipe being 100mm dia when it goes past the diff and there is very little clearance.
  8. You should be commended for the time of 104.9 on a cold day as the lap record for the V8 Utes is a 108.00 Whitline make a replacement adjustable front sway bar link KLC108 that is stronger than the standard unit. Here is a link to their site. http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_detail4.php?part_number=KLC108
  9. If you are still after a R32 cradle I have one that you can have for $50. I am in Sydney most weeks so I can help with transport from Wollongong. PM me if you are interested.
  10. In a work NO You should either run a fully sealed battery or one with a breather outlet that you then connect to the breather hose that should be near your current battery which then vents the battery to outside the car.
  11. Clinton and I had a great night and the guys from JLM should be commended for putting on such a good evening and providing very good information. I will have to call in and see them and pick up some of their Tyre Placards as we run 18 x 9's on all of our cars and it would just make it that much easier if you are pulled over as it is then something obvious that you cannot get defected for. My only problem for the night was loosing a set of reading glasses which probably dropped out of my coat onto the floor somewhere.
  12. What year is the car and how many km has it done?
  13. Those clamps look like a good copy of the Wiggins clamps that Brad from Pro Fabrications uses. They work very well and cope with higher pressures than normal joiner hoses but you have to have to tubing aligned correctly.
  14. An RB20E in a R33 is a rare engine for an import and few people would have exposure to them (we know they exist but you just do not see many). Some pictures of the engine and engine bay may help people shed some light on your problem.
  15. I have never seen this feature on a R33 but they were reasonably common on R32's. Some pictures in the down and up positions would be great.
  16. Just so you are aware Series I and Series II reo's for a R33 are a different shape so you should specify which one you are after.
  17. I am very impressed by your work. Considering the extent of work involved the idea of doing the design and initial fabrication work on the old rusted sedan shell before final fabrication in the hatchback shell is a great idea. I will be following your build with interest.
  18. The picture is of the spare wheel carrier in the boot. In a R33 the tank is in front of the rear diff, made of black plastic and takes the shape of the underside of the rear seat, You do not have a problem.
  19. What is the shell like? How bad is the damage to the front? What are the rails like?
  20. That is the air bag control unit hence the special bolts that hold it in so you cannot remove it easily.
  21. GTR fronts are 50mm shorter than GTS-T. GTR rears have a yoke type mount where GTS-T have a standard bolt mount. Neither are interchangeable unless you want a very low front GTS-T.
  22. I converted a Series I.5 to a Series II and the liners are different due to the different shape of the front bar. I have purchased them from Just Jap and Nussan Aus for about $70 each because you can never find them second hand when you need them.
  23. What is this thing called fuel consumption???????? If you drive a performance car fuel consumption is the last thing on your mind.
  24. They also came in red but I thought being a coloured light on the front of a vehicle they would be illegal so I did not buy them - they look cool though
