Im keen to try out Warhawk and HOME over the next few months, HOME especially i think has the potential to be awesome.

Wont be buying any more games? Why did you get a ps3 for then.. babyskyline, the ps3 is definatly worth the money if you consider it is way more than just a gaming machine. As of yet there is any major MUST have titles, but by christmas there will be, and early '08 is looking very promising. The blu-ray player in the PS3 is top of the line, the best on the market at the moment and cheaper than most too. Granted you'll need a HDTV to take full advantage of most of what the PS3 can do, its definatly worth it. I recently bought the BBC doco 'Planet Earth' on blu-ray, filmed entirely on HD cameras it looks absolutely unbelievable. So yes, in my opinion is worth every cent now, and will be even more so come christmas.

Knowing Blizzard, the game wont be anywhere near ready for release anytime soon. I'd give it 1.5-2years yet until release. Blizzard are notorious for overly long production times. And if this is the case, im betting the game will look alot different from what we are seeing now to the final finished product. Although im still hoping you dont need a beast of a machine to run the game. But Blizzard usually do make their games less graphics heavy than most.

Im running Wireless perfectly on my PS3, 100% stability and very fast download speed. I guess it depends where your router is positioned in relation to your PS3 though.

They might, or they might not. Time will tell. But seriously WTF are you doing buying a PS3 to play PS1/2 titles anyway? If thats the case you probably already have a PS1/2, just keep it setup and play them on that, the consoles dont take up that much space..stack em on top of eachother, its worked a charm for me.

Thats true, but they did instead implement emulation software to run the PS1 & PS2 games, and in the near future will be implementing upscaling for the games to support resolutions such as 720p and 1080p, which the jap & US consoles with the backwards compatibility chips cant do. True the backwards compatibility as a result of the emulator's arnt as good as with the chips, but thats not to say it will always be the case, they can refine to software to be just as good, and with the upscaling on the horizon, even better than the chip.

I wouldnt be worrying too much, this is almost ALWAYS the case with consoles, where they make their money is from the software sales, they rake in the profits big time from them. The Wii is probably one of the first consoles in history that is actually selling at a profit, hell even the PS2 was selling at a loss until its fifth year released or something crazy like that.

I read in an article a while back (although i dont have a link to it unfortunatly), that sony would be releasing new dev kit for developers, making it alot easier to program their games for.

1. I just received my copy last week. 2. I know people with non AUS systems that have registered and received the disc. 3. Some blu-ray have zone restrictions, while others dont. Casino Royale will play on any PAL/NTSC systems.

Home isnt a "game", its a network system much like xbox live but built with-in a "virtual world" to make it more interesting i guess. Looks pretty decent to me, especially seeing as its free.

Thats not what i've been hearing, quite the opposite actually. Alot of reviews are comparing the PS3's player to current stand alone players and the verdict is that its on par; and in some cases even surpasses the stand alone units. The PS2's DVD player was junk, i guess they stepped it up with the PS3's player. And rightly so, seeing as the PS3 is the medium Sony are using to really get the head start on HD-DVD and try win the next gen movie wars. I dont get the rankings, do they reset or something? Because you are no longer in the top 10 geno8r but there are cars with less than your 12169 drift score now in the top10.. At the moment im currently globally ranked 6th with only 11463 points for the tuned R32 reverse drift.

Yeah i did watch a few of the top scorers and im using TC: 0 now. I pretty much use the same tactic as you except i seem to have to use the brake otherwise im gonna slide all the way into the opposite barrier. i handbrake into the corner, then alternate throttle and brake in and out of the corner.

The price wont have dropped much before this comes out, no chance until after christmas atleast.

The problem with 1080p is that even though the graphics will undoubtably look sharper and better than a 720p game, 720p has a better frame refresh rate than 1080p, and always will (on our current tv's atleast). So i think we'll find most games will only go up to 720p on PS3, with the few exceptions.

I have a similar setup geno8r, except mine is a 32" HD LCD, right at the end of my bed hehe Its nice playing and surfing the web on a BIG screen from the comfort of your bed.

I prefer the game runnin in 720p. You can see the scan lines at 1080i on fast moving things such as the lap timer. Im running on a HD LCD tv so maybe i can see it more though.

Not in resistance unfortunatly. But there will be games released in the future with keyboard+mouse support, like unreal tournament 3

Hey guys, i picked up my set on friday night and let me just say that no one should be disappointed with these, they look very nice and were worth the wait. I havent installed mine yet, i probably wont get time until next weekend, if anyone does before me post some pics up for everyone to see

Apparently its only like one map with a few cars though? GT HD that is. I can understand that though as its really just a tech demo to show off the PS3's potential isnt it?
