^^^ HA! i liked reason 3. that was my favorite... i suppose that is fair enough. thanks for the detailed reasoning. sorry for the thread hi jack.

cheers all for your help. much appreciated. i pretty much have got it sorted, but still feel free to post up more useful information. cheers. james.

gtst- why do you always seem to have an annoyed tone whenever you post something up? nearly every post i can remember of yours its either some sort of sarcasm or bagging someone... a good idea none the less though... cheers. james.

braadz. i dont want to get it done because i like the idea of doing work myself so i can say "yeah, that under bonnet bling is my work"... and besides. getting it proffessionally done, although it looks the goods, is out of my budget... so yeah.. satanic: are you able to disclose where i can get this resin? if not no offence taken SKY031: thanks for the advice and also- is that your engine bay? looks awsome... cheers. james.

autosol? where abouts do you get your hands on this stuff?? also satanic- if your willing to explain of course- will cleaning it with kero once a week or something keep the rust off? or is that for other non corrosive metals? umm.. im using cheap arse paint- australian export to be exact.. and i used metho before it gets a chance to dry properly and it comes off pretty easy... cheers. james.

harsh but fair... ill just keep trying to paint it till i get it right (paint- stuff up- remove with metho!)... cheers. james.

hi all. righty ho then: ive got an intake pipe that i finished polishing up today. looks not bad for my first attempt but anyway i digress... well the problem is its made of (i think) mild steel and tends to rust fairly quickly, as i learnt when i left it out in my shed for a week half polished. my question is that when i put my new turbo and this intake pipe that goes with it into my car will it be likely to rust again? i tried using a clear coat of spray paint but all it seems to do is ruin the finish (makes the mirror style look faded). if worse comes to worse ill paint it but id rather not let the 8 or so hours (i know its long but im still learning) i spent today go to waste! any help wil be much appreciated. cheers. james.

alrighty then. i called up king springs and they themselves had said that the rear ones are good for a both the GTS-T and GTS-4 (they said "its suitable for both the rear wheel dirve and the 4WD" so i assume that its ok for the GTR) HOWEVER the FRONT springs are only good for the gts/ gts-t. PATTO: steven from king springs said that it lowers it 25- 30 mm. which isnt much but ive driven a 32 with these springs on them and it look good, and is easy to drive aswell. cheers. james. If you want to ask any more questions please call them on (07) 5539 6700 and quote the part numbers KDRL 102 (the rear ones) and KDFL 101 (fronts)

do you have a stock turbo? perhaps you raped and pillaged the ceramic exhaust wheel? Ive heard that you cant safely put stock turbos past the 14psi mark (absolute maximum). so that would be my geuss. cheers. james.

hi all. i bought these a while ago with the intention of putting them in my mistress but have decided to sell and wait till i can afford a full adj' coilover setup! i bought them off ebay a few months ago for just over 270. i feel that $200 is a fair price. 200 INCLUDING shipping that is. pick up in the mornington peninsula area would be alright too (say $180 for pick up). PRICE DROP!!!- NOW ASKING $170 INCLUDING POSTAGE according to the ebayer i bought them off they lower the car 30-35mm. dont know for sure but ive been told from a reasonable source that they are much stiffer than the stock springs too (but dont hold me to that!) to contact me you can do the obvious: pm or reply in this post. or call/ sms my mobile on 0423 043 495. james is my name. not particularly negotiable on price- unless you can show me a genuine place that sells the same item new for much cheaper. cheers. james.

well there goes that idea for my mistress (r32 gts-t in regular terms)

BAH! ever heard of gear ratios? have the pulley that spins the freewheel MUCH bigger. hence 1 revolution of the pulley would equal for example 10 - 15 revolutions of the free wheel. too easy! cheers. james.

thanks for everyones' ideas and input. but please, keep going, im enjoying this. also, i agree. it does seem to be a too complex system. question: i hear that the anti lag systems severely reduce the life of the turbo. although its only hear-say (to my knowledge), it does make sense that it would reduce turbo life. cheers. james. ps: does every one like my wicked ms paint skills?
