ALRIGHTY THEN!!! last night was pondering and i came up with this idea. i dont think anyone has the recources to experiment this idea but I want to know ppls opinions etc. ok. here goes: On the turbo shaft have something that works like a freewheel on a bike (can spin one way but not the other). attatched to the "freewheel" would be a belt to a pulley that spins at a constant rpm. the idea being that the compressor wheel would be spinning at a minimum of X amount of rpms and could not spin any slower than that. on another part of the shaft have a system that makes the exhaust wheel spin seperately from the compressor wheel, but when it hits "x"amount of rpms, it engages the other half of the shaft so the compressor wheel can spin faster and create more boost. if you dont get a part of it then i shall elaborate on it. cheers. james. its generally thought that BOV's are a waste of time mod. sure, i like the sound but i dont think its worth the hassle and the +$150 that they cost. also if they are not installed correctly they can screw around with your idle n stuff. intercoolers are good for handling more boost. what sort of engine do you have, rb20 or the rb30? also, be specific on the usage of your car (ie street and drag or street and track etc)... hope that helps mate. cheers. james. edit: and also, for legality issues- its best that you check your vic roads equivitent website. (i dont know what its called in NSW). there is so much heresay when it comes to modification laws, your best off hearing it from the horses mouth!

on the subject of XXX in dandy sort of area, i know a guy with a 300zx. he got a kit sprayed and fitted there, they snapped one of the bolt things when they installed it, and said "basically, its your problem"... so i personally wouldnt go there. cheers. james.

to put it plain and simple: if your car is rolling (clutch in OR out)- there will be a section of the gearbox that is moving. if the clutch pedal is out, and its in neutral (regardless of rolling or not rolling) there will be a different section of the gearbox thats moving. to get a very good understanding of how gearboxes work i reccomend this link: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/transmission.htm your description to me sounds like your gearbox has been raped. my condolences for your loss (as much as i like to be right, i hope im wrong). i hate it when bad shit happens to pride and joys. cheers. james. now, i dont know if the same deal applies with the r34, but its possible the above bonnet is a GTR bonnet cos on the r32's there is more grill on the gtr compared to the gts-t. cheers. james.
