Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
GH05T replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ok i feel like im asking a stupid question but i cant quite work it out. for a 32 gtr regarding staggered offsets, i know everyone sais it will trip the atessa system. how sensitive is it? i want to maby run say 18X9 and 18X10 for instance (offset asside) if i run the same size tire on each will it be ok? or do i need to run wider tires to negate the tire stretch? i understand the rolling diametre needs to be the same for obvious reasons for the 4x4 system, but how does the wheel width stuff it up? -

yeah, not a fan of the big spongey blue silicon pipes, my interior holds priority first though, no point playing with pipes when i have gtst seats in a gtr! -

pin hole leak in one of the pipes... it let out sooooo much coolant lol all fixed. must say, she does seem to be in good company at FP also... mmmmm sexy wrinkle paint for the plenum blasted back to bare metal and refinished. I think the intake side needs greddy hard-pipes and all new metal IC pipes all done the same? then a deep candy red for the rockers and cam cover, neaten it all up a bit. the old paint, like all, was cracked and flaking off, looked a bit shitty. -

Josh at Forge Performance is helping me out, i want it done properly, especially with the throttle body rework and resealing the plenum properly as well as the hoses. hes a champ and looks after pricing really well so im happy to use his assistance. -
different yes, the difference is well documented though, they do have different preferred applications, when the application stated points towards the stock pump, why pay a substantial amount more for the alternative? the n1 pump is not an upgrade, it is a different impeller fin design which preferences high rpm and compromises low. yes an N1 pump can work without issue, but there is no point pretending its worth spending more on, especially if the issue (being unavailability) can be worked around.

.................... asshole seems i spoke too soon ok this time it looks like i will have to remove the plenum and do it properly. i dont know how many hoses are under there but i have replaced quite a few now. going to replace all of them. f**king heater box better not join this little leak party. on the plus side we can repaint my plenum -
heater box, check your heater hoses.

the n1 does not flow as well during daily driving, so hot days in traffic its not the best. the N1 pump was designed to have less cavitation at high rpm which is where the N1 was supposed to live (track) it works well for allot of people but is not ideal and unless you going to belt the thing its defiantly not worth the extra coin, especially when driven normally. however if they cannot get a gen pump then you might have no choice. edit, talk to kudos motorsport and see if they can ship one out to you. probably still end up cheaper and they have them in stock, aswell as the rest of the 100,000k service kit (>$400)

nah their still going. lots of options really but are you going to get shocks to suit?

f**k that's pretty. why was this not around when i was looking. for the price compared to what else is generally available on the market, its a stunner. and looking at the mod list it could easily move states. -
this is spot on.
