im no expert with rbs and engine changes, if i was to learn the basics i would not start with a 26 into a gtst. it just dosnt make sense. what does make sense is what everyone is telling you. rb25, neo if possible. i havnt seen a valid reason as to why you would go agaist this advice. sure what everyone else does should not dictate what you should do but i would atleast expect a valid reason to do something differently especially doing so blindly. now if you had a car and free motor, and had help from a mechanic who isnt telling you to pay him to remove and engine to replace mounts, then sure give it a shot. but whats your upside here? what do you want from the 26 with mass effort and cost > the easy 2wd based RB options? cos its not going to be power budget to budget.

i had a similar issue which was my leads which looked perfect, were arking on the rocker cover due to tiny cracks and general insulation break down, the degreaser could have just failed the rubber? have you tried NEW leads and NEW plugs?

mine seems to just switch from stock 4wd to 2wd. dosnt seem to do anything else. probably wired in incorrectly.

you havnt got coilpacks, but you do have a dizzy, check that, they love holding water.

i would swap out amfs for a haltec for an extra $1000 then you have all the safety sensors for the older engine and a better tune.
