  1. SHU are actually quite avg, make up of mostly group III oil. There's some pretty strong oil like Mobil delvac 1, Motul 300V, Redline street engine oil and Royal Purple.
  2. That's too thick for street use unless it's for track or autocross... even for that you got to baby it till up to temp before flooring it. Interesting read by Dr AEHaas Thick or thin oil?
  3. Are you able to get Mobil delvac 1 5w40 over there? That is one pretty strong oil (group IV/V) with loads of anti-wear additives.
  4. That is some pretty heavy oil you are putting in. It will actually create more wear during startup and shear rapidly with this kind of spread. Take a read on startup wear by Dr AEHaas. Motor Oil .. Thin or Thick oil?
  5. Oops sorry about that link. I did a search and not much is say about this Nulon stuffs.. only PTFE, but a local Tribology Molakule explain more of the ill effect on PTFE on engine. BITOG
  6. Nulon gets pretty bad review in BITOG, you may want to reconsider using it. BITOG
  7. Castrol Transmax Z is just a normal synthetic Dexron III ATF, if budget is no issue, Redline synthetic high temp would be a very good bet, meets dexron III, Mercon V & GL-4 spec. The best money can buy. Redline Synthetic High Temp
  8. What viscosity of engine oil did you used? What's the temp now at your location? Your oil could be too thick.
  9. IK16 is about a number 5 NGK heat range plugs. IK16 may be too hot for your ride, choose IK20 (equal to NGK heat range 6 plug).
  10. Yes, you need a feeler gauge and a long nose plier. Conti plugs mean European brand like Bosch, voker or brisk.
  11. Do not use any conti plugs, use Denso or NGK brand. They are more suitable for jap made ride. Since you have already bought the bosch, set the gap down to 1, if detonate then down to 0.9 so on and so fore.
  12. One trick i learn from old timer, coat a layer of grease to the plugs thread before installation. Set 30% lower torque to the plugs and you are good to go. It will never seize.
  13. Your tranny fluid is shot or syncro is gone. Do a fluid change, use Redline tranny fluid, IMO they are the best money can buy.
  14. The Reddish colour are usually due to additives in fuel. Did you use any fuel injector cleaner during the time your plugs in there? For the foul no.6 plugs, it's normally due to carbon buildup on the no.6 valve or injector clog, since the rest of the plugs look ok. IMO, the cheaper way you can do is to use a strong dose of injector cleaner like Redline SI-1(one bottle for the 1st tank, than lower dose on the 2nd tank). If that doesn't help then you got to sent the injector for ultrasound cleaning.
  15. Yes use a ester oil like 300v or Redline, they both clean very very well.
  16. Use ATE Super Blue Dot 4.
  17. It's not really a good idea to use such a wide spread engine oil of 5w50 due to it's high VII content, you should choose the smallest wt spread like 10w30 or 15w40. Currently 5w20, 10w30 or 15w40 oil wt use the least VII in their oil formulation. http://bobistheoilguy.com/oilshear.htm
  18. That's a semi so it's ok to run in your engine. Just take note to change the oil out at 500km or max 1k
  19. It will be fine for a NA engine, infact any API SL oil like Titan CFX can go 10K OCI with no problem at all.
  20. Hey kingscorp, we appreciate your sharing of knowledge with us on Fuchs lubricants. We are also learning everyday, peace. I think what Busky2k is trying to say is API standard is pretty normal, almost all decent oil brand can make it. It's the ACEA A3 standard which must meet a min HTHS of 3.5 or MB 229.3 standard which separate the good among the average oil. Anyway what i think is most important in a oil are the HTHS figure ( for Hydrodynamic lubrication) anti-wear additives ( for boundary lubrication) surfactant, detergent level ( engine cleanliness) Perhap with your insider knowledge, you could disclose some data of fuchs lubricant for our discussion.
  21. A great site for UOA results: BITOG
  22. ASH, thanks alot for the insight of Fuchs base stocks. What is the HTHS for the above mention oil? btw do you have the sequence IIIG test results for 5w40 since it's rated API SM?
  23. Busky2k, I second that. Are you able to get those above mention oil from your local parts store?
  24. How did you get 2 bottle for 3.87L? You mean 1 gallon for $60 bucks? That really good prices you get there. btw Redline comes in per quart or gallon bottle.
  25. There's no doubt that Fuchs do make some very high end products for the aerospace industry but for their engine oil? The UOA result from Fuchs are pretty normal or avg at best, nothing exordinary...
