  1. i guess that depends on the type of tune your have. your car would certianly be alot slower but if your not gonna be boosting it much it should be fine. i found when restricting my exhaust my fuel economy went real crap.
  2. the engine was built over 2 years ago and i didnt really know about this approval until recently. thanks for your help ossie_21 btw im the one who bought the defi's from your bro
  3. mainly engine mods, rebuilt motor with high mani + turbo etc... suspension mods too like camber and caster kits, sway bars, rear cradle bushes. some brake mods too. also whats the rules about half cages because no one there seemed to know?
  4. hey all sorta another yellow sticker thread.. went to the pits today, managed go get an extension to the 24th of Jan, which im happy about but i go that extension because i need to complete the vehicle modification application. so im gonna need someone who knows alot about this or a profesional to help me complete it. because it takes sooo long to go through the system i need to get it all right so it wont get rejected. can anyone help me or recomend me somebody? thanks luke
  5. wow that was alot of toe!
  6. yeah got the exhaust done on wednesday, it now has gate plumbed back, 2 mufflers, a cat and realllly quiet! even the bee*r limiter doesnt make any noise! but lost quite a bit of performance. and it now sounds like a porshe lol. ill tell them its all stock then. but would the turbo / manifold need a engineer to look at it?
  7. got a yellow and going over the pits probably tuesday. the motor has been rebuilt and u can obviously hear that its got big cams in it. if the examiner asks whats in the motor, should i just tell them that i dont know, or that it just has cams? it also has a high mount turbo. hope i dont get into too much trouble. luke
  8. probably has to be secured properly but
  9. good luck at the pits that would suck to re register your car what exactly do u need an engineer for and are they expensive?
  10. bkc, all the facts show that the vr38 is far more superior. your making my brain hurt, please stop posting!
  11. is the nistune the same as the old lumpy rom? they just changed the name of it?
  12. turbo? manual? how about some info on what its got first, then what u wanna use it for...
  13. there is a dude on the forums (i think this one) in WA who has a 2.8L stroker kit with twin GT-RS's. think his name is gavin but unsure of username.
  14. added more oil.. booted it a couple times and the oil pressure seems to be holding above 6 bar. i cant believe how much oil i have put in now! close to 6.5 litres! just hope this wasnt happening b4 i put the cooler in, because i never had it so full.
  15. close, found this on the web, - The Z-tune ran 0-400 meters (a little shorter than a quarter mile) in 10.06 seconds during development. - NISMO claims a Z-Tune will crush through a quarter-mile in just 10.6 seconds on street tires. That would make it the hardest accelerating "production" car ever.
  16. i think the ztune runs 11 flat?
  17. it is a stock r32 gtr sump, car is a r32 gts4 4 door.. do u know if the oil should be flowing into the oil filter or cooler first? or that doesnt matter?
  18. even though the sump is baffled and the oil level is almost on full on the dipstick?
  19. thanks for your reply, what do u mean by check if the inlet is half covered? another question, is it important which way the oil flows? ie. engine > filter block > cooler > back to engine
  20. that sounds right to me.
  21. yeah ive been told it takes around 8-10 hours to change them bushes. yeah would be best to remove the subframe in yourself and get the bushes done.
  22. i have a built 26 with a trust oil pump and recently installed a just jap oil cooler and connected my defi gauge senders up. oil pressure is good driving normally, but when i boot it, oil pressure stays above 6 bar until it reaches about 6500rpm and falls to about 3.5 bar by 8000rpm. rev limiter is set at 9000rpm so would probably drop below 3 bar by then i also have fresh oil in there, castrol edge 10w-60 thanks, luke
  23. check the garrett website. the .81 is a good size but.
  24. and if i set the memory then turn the car off, then the next day turn the ignition on, the memory is still set until i actually start the car up. edit** problem found.. changed the ground wire and problem solved.
