  1. I put it in myself thats why im thinking maby i dident do somthing right and maby somone can tell me what to look for. I'm pretty sure i connected the waste gate arm up proply, looking at the old turbo and compairing it to the newer one the wastegate valve inside the turbo should be closed tight, As for the sound it wasent making any weird nosies to start with but is making a sound when im comming off the throttle a bit, anything else i could check?
  2. I bought a stock turbo off a RB20DET it seemed in ok condition not much shaft play etc.. But after swaping it over into my r32 and taking it for a drive it wont go about 0 boost pressure and is blowing a hell of a lot of black smoke out the muffler. I'm pretty sure its not oil burning because its not blue and it doesnt smell like oil, so i'm thinking that the turbo might be f*ked and is not letting air pass threw it probly so the motor is running rich. Does anyone have any sergestions for what i should do, i dont know that much about turbo's and motors so maby i havent connected somthing up right, is there anything in particula i should check or do?

I'm a bit puzzled as to why you would be spending so much for a real veilside kit for just a gts-t, If you have that kind of money to throw around why not buy a gtr put some rims on it and leave it stock. Would end up looking alot better than any kit you can get for a gts-t plus u'll have the gtr power? Seems like a no brainer to me

    Same here, I've been looking for the right r34 gtr body kit to modify to my own taste's and so far the only shop that has anything even similar to what i want is carmate so i haven't got much choice, If anyone knows a shop around Sydney for r34 kits post a reply or pm me please.

The car is a R32 gts-t and when i start it up it will go to 1000 revs then drop slowly and makes the engine shake allot and the lower it go's the worse it gets until it stalls, but once above 2000 it go's ok and doesn't shake but it feels like its hesitating when i put my foot down and doesn't have as much power. I've been told it's probably the injectors but i had a look at the muffler when i had it started up and no black smoke came out so i'm not sure if it is the injectors, Any ideas?

  8. It was leaking near the firewall, but since i got it fixed i haven't noticed any change in performance or cooling, It's still running pretty hot. The biggest problem besides all the things that have been happening, is that it doesn't always do it, So when i take it in to get it fixed there's nothing wrong with it. Maybe the car is running lean and thats why it's over heating, Don't know how that could be because it go's through heaps of petrol, Just a thought. I'm going back to the mechanics on Wednesday when i get payed, So what should i get done first?

It did have a cracked hose that was leaking coolant but i got that fixed, i also replaced the temperature sensor just in case the computer was getting wrong signals, i had the computer checked for errors and it said there were non. Yea the plugs got replaced at the service, The coil packs weren't touched in the service, But as for the fuel pump and fuel filter i didn't think to get them replaced, I'll get them done later in the week if you think it might fix it. But as for the water pump i don't think there are any problems there because since i had the thermostat replaced i can see the coolant flowing through the radiator nicely.
  10. Hi, i just bought a 89 R32-gts-t which has some major heating issues. I've already spent a bit having a full service done and a couple of other things to try and fix this very annoying problem, but before i go and throw some more money at it i thought i should ask what you guys think it is. It basically is always over heating even in the cold morning after 5 minuets of driving i can feel the heat coming through the floor and after a little while it starts to lose power then get it back very quickly making it bunny hop, it mainly starts to do this as the boost pressure rises above 2 pounds, but some times this problem will come and then go away but it seems to be getting worse and happening more often, also sometimes if i slam it for a bit it will go away for 30 minutes or so,When i slow down to take a corner or sit at lights it will stall sometimes and when i start it, it will rev up to 2,000 revs then bum out to 500 revs and keep doing this over and over then stall again. I've already flushed the radiator twice and replaced the thermostat but it's still doing it. In the next few days I'm going to get the temperature sensor replaced in a effort to try and fix the problem, the temp gauge wont go above half way even when the motor is so hot it wont start so maybe that is why it is doing it, i dunno. If anyone knows what this is and how to fix it please let me know.

  12. Also here are some pics of the rims im thinking of buying, let me know wat you think guys. This last pic is of rims i would really like to get but i can't find a place that sells them, Anyway guys let me know which one you like the most i'll be buying them in a few days. Also keep in mind the car will be blood red with gold perl with crome and white graphics on it and have a Bee R R24 body kit on it which makes it look like a GTR R34 from the front and a bit of wide body work aswell, I think any of the rims above will suit it well but i'd like to know wat everyone here thinks.
  13. Yea thats what i'm going to do and if they don't fit i'll go to my next choice and so on. Yea JiMiH is right, I've seen a few R32's sitting on 19s with plenty of room, Guess it depends on how low my car is sitting weather they will hit or not. Still its better to be safe than sorry, I saw a RX7 on 20s once with its ass almost scraping the ground with all crinkled up guards from the rims hitting, Wasn't a good look

  15. Yea a agree, This guy doesn't seem to even know what he's selling if he's putting up pictures of a GTR. Also in the pics on the thread he posted, it seems in the first photo that he's cut the front of the car out on purpose and the only pic of the front is to dark to make out anything. Could be stolen or unsafe or has had considerable damage in its under body structure and he's trying to offload it befour the next rego check, I would be very careful about buying this car, Infact i wouldent touch it.
  16. I'm pretty sure it would be a non type m gts-t because of the price that i got it at, So i'll go back and tell them that it should be the same as a gts-t's and get them to check the offset on the rims and my car and take it from there, Thanks guys.
  17. I'm buying some 19s for my R32 GTS-T, wanted to ask if there is any difference between a GTS and GTS-T's break calipers, because i was told a GTS-T's are bigger and not all rims will fit on them. Could somone let me know if this is true, I thought it was only the GTR that was bigger
