  1. Well - I have my 94 V-Spec2, stock, Grade 5A and 22,000 genuine kms (full service history) insured at 55K and I don't think that's excessive.... Paid 35K at Auction 2.5 years ago..... (Thanks Iron Chef ;-) Glad I got it when I did - not many like it left Might sell it to Yankee land in 2019 Cheers Andreas
  2. Oops double post...
  3. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=893571297378777&id=109130862489495 This is one I'd recommend if you are still looking. Iron Chef is one of the most respected importers in the field and got me my car. Don't get ripped off.....
  4. As the topic says - tried to renew Vic membership but online system not operational ..... Any idea whether this will be operational soon??
  5. Toyota has a stated goal of 3000 Mirai per year and 30000 Fuel cell cars on the road by 2020...... So yeah - this is real... Whether Australia wants to play in the space remains to be seen....
  6. The Hyundai station refuels their ix35 to 350 bar pressure - this is the pressure used for industrial equipment like forklifts. The public vehicle infrastructure will standardise at 700 bar. The Mirai also prefers an electronic handshake to test system integrity which the Hyundai station is missing. The Mirai could theoretically use it but we'd only get half the amount of Hydrogen in the tank and thereby also halving the range. It's a good start but Infrastructure will need to be improved....
  7. I wish..... Can't even be refuelled in Australia at the moment - I work for Toyota and we had the car out here for a one tank publicity show.....
  8. View from the dash ? Ps - anyone know how to rotate I-phone picture?
  9. Ok - I am one of the people involved in getting a Toyota Mirai fuel cell vehicle to Australia for the recent World Hydrogen Technology Conference in Sydney and actually got to drive it today ? If you want some good details on where the technology is at - I'd recommend googling the Toyota US Mirai site - it has an excellent introduction to the technology. Suffice to say that I think it's pretty Impressive (335Nm of torque at take off) and just in terms of cost, 5 kg of H2 costs about $50 and gets you about 550 kms......
  10. Stay on target - your time will come.... Cheers Andreas - took me several months as well but very happy with the end result....... BTW - for that budget you can probably return that Gumtree one back to spec ;-)
  11. I think you'd be pretty safe with either of those. Personally I went with 'Iron Chef' and am happy to recommend their service. good luck with what you seek ;-) Cheers Andreas
  12. So glad I got mine when I did (almost 2 years ago) - don't fancy my chances of finding another (affordable) one like it.... Cheers Andreas
  13. I had to wait till my 40's before I got my dream GT-R. Be proud of the GTST - its a great car and deserves to be recognised as such. We all start somewhere. Have fun with it and heed the advice - "Don't buy a GT-R unless you can afford two"* Cheers andreas * The spelling of 'two' is deliberate ;-)
  14. Butt shaped actually - managed a 180 pirouette while tumbling and making sure I was between the car the metal shelf I was carrying at the time..... Cheers Andreas
