  1. A mine down the road got robbed, 3 mil *cough 4.2 mil*. A volatile situation that was resolved with no injuries. Good result. Got robbed!!! But how weird is that, I can see Paul's office from mine...freaky.
  2. Thats just creepy. lol PM sent
  3. Kahama! pfft I'm happy if roads are actually there..and as for Nzega....arrhhh Nzega land of contrasts, T junction to modern Shinyanga and the bee captial of Tanzania, Tabora, a wonderland of soda shops and salmonella....how do you know of such things? lol. But I digress. they could use a speed camera or two over here. They have no car control...or clue
  4. Tough break on the buy there Shaun. Sounds like a worst case scenario. I would'nt even bother importing a 32R right now unless it was an N1. Buy local. These cars are getting on a bit so even if you find a good'un it will still need work to bring it back to it's best...and when it's there it's great. Suspension components will need changed out. everything from shocks, which will probably have been attended to, rubber bushes, subframes bushes etc. The gearbox may be worn and need work especially if it is a higher mileage car that has seen upped horsepower and "spirited driving"...syncros and 3rd gear are something to watch . It's worth spending the money to have it inspected by a specialist tuner. If your keen on one they may even have a customer who is looking at moving on. If you find a well maintained one and are prepared to attend to the maintenance on time and with out being too cheap these are rewarding cars to own. Good luck
  5. Why am I never home when the good stuff happens...impunity FTW
  6. Great stuff and some useful tips...ACL bearings. You can never post too many pics of this awesome build. As for the HKS/Farndon connection, I'm pretty sure Farndon were responsible for the step 3 HKS crank. this seems to be common knowledge on the UK site...having said that it's still an internet forum. Cant wait for the dyno sheet.
  7. 9K...same a Paul mate. Wont do it at the same revs or speed in 2nd or 4th. Tyres are in good nick.
  8. Yet another great build on it's way. Stop teasing, specs!. I wonder if Farndon will still make up a step 3 HKS crank mmmmm.
  9. I know this off topic but...SK returns!
  10. The right turn onto the pier was cool but the whole video felt much more contrived, the first one is still the best as far as a video goes...still who doesn't love AWD power slides.
  11. I thought I was alone on this issue but now I'm told a few people have experienced the same problem. I have a vibration I believe comes from the OSG 5 speed...3rd gear light to medium acceleration only. I didn't realise there was a vibration there as the centre bearing in the OEM shaft(s) was on it's way out. It was only when I put in the one piece CF tailshaft, which I had checked for balance - no problem there, that I noticed it. The assembly of the box was outsourced by my tuner to a guy that has experience with these assemblies. The box does not have the billet centre plate. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, do you know what caused it and what the fix is?
  12. mmmm. I couldn't tell as my centre bearing was on the way out anyway. The cat who built mine has built a number for my tuner. I'm not aware of anyone else from that shop with a prob...I might put a thread in the drivetrain section tomorrow + the UK forum. EDIT: Done 5 speed vibration: SAU Drivetrain sub forum
  13. Paul, Mark No billet plate, I wouldn't have 2,500Km on the box yet. A mate told me it might have been a bearing run out issue...not sure. I'm home in the first week of July so I'll have the shop pull it down and go through it again. Definitive answer...here's hoping. On second thoughts I might just get the centre bearing replaced on the standard shaft(s) and see if that changes it. If not...then it's the box
  14. Good news Paul. I haven't really noticed any increase in NVH to be honest, but I don't drive it every week. I have a small vibration from the OSG 5 speed that needs attention... 3rd gear light to medium acceleration only.
  15. You're a funny guy.
  16. If it's weight you're after go the battery definately. As for placing a breather in the ABS position, Nismo make a kit that is compatible with the 32R (pt# 11830-RSR25)...naturally it's way exe. You could get someone to fab the can and build it yourself for next to nothing
  17. Dropping a quality skid lol I dont recall the concept of insurance being mentioned...not that I care, I drive an R
  18. Thats why he has you Brad They've got better over the years, they used to be a problem. All in all, for the law abiding citizen it's good news...but I'm always concerned when lawful persons are the subject of "random" surveillance.
  19. DPI Media statement - abbreviated "Western Australians will no longer need registration stickers and discs on their cars, trailers and motorcycles from January 1, 2010. The Premier said there were 2.2 million cars, utilities and light vehicles registered in WA and with the majority of people choosing to renew their registration every six months, this meant more than three million stickers were being produced each year. “This is an innovative approach to efficiency and saving. WA is leading the nation with this step forward to a more modern and efficient government,” he said. Mr Barnett said stickers and discs were no longer required because police had new communications technology meaning registration details could be checked using the new Police Metropolitan Radio Network. "The new system gives police instant access to the State's vehicle registration database via computers located in all police vehicles,” he said. “Police also have Automatic Numberplate Recognition Cameras, similar to the Multanova cameras, which can record and assess numberplates as vehicles pass by.” Transport Minister Simon O’Brien said that the Department for Planning and Infrastructure would continue to send registration renewal notices to vehicle owners six weeks prior to the expiration of a vehicle’s registration" Leading the country by using Automatic Numberplate Recognition Cameras to track your act
  20. "Share your thoughts in 60 seconds! Thank you for your contribution! Your comments will appear here once they have been checked." lets see if they publish????
  21. There is nothing the Police can say or don to stop my mates and I racing"...they could shoot you and you're mates, that would have to cramp you hektic schedule. Is anyone else here suspicious in regard to this story...I know Kent is supposed to be Uni educated but seriously..."punk kid", "impacting on my behaviour" , "speeding excessively"...name your source Phil Hickey and Vanessa Schmitt, where are your notes?
  22. The punishment must fit the crime. Car crushing is excessive and I'm sure when someone with enough cash is threatened it will go to a much higher court...Still 6 times = Fail "KENT is 28 years old, university educated and holds a steady job. He is also a self-confessed hoon, a penis, and proud of it"....damn r33 drivers
  23. sell them or 6 workshop ashtrays
  24. ^Correct, but I recall seeing a few 33 guys ordering them...oops just read page 3...definitely don't work.
