  1. W.A Suspensions, PM "Rdirty3" (Brad).
  2. lift off over steer, top gear style lolz. Tyre condition? Fully sik spring rates? I love the wet in the R...not too much correction required until... Got to watch the greasy roads in Perth, as Michael said we get a lot of oil build up
  3. ^ he's right...your wrong
  4. and rightly so..." I wouldn't stand too close to that officer" lol
  5. With the HKS E-TS units you dial in the split and the speed and curve of application is controlled by the standard ATTESA unit. The Ruzic unit changes the lateral G Force signal read by the ATTESA and gives you maps so you can tailor the application, more front earlier, later etc. You can toggle maps whilst driving and data log. Those who have them...installed rate them highly. I also recall a thread on GTRUK where a number of punters had trouble with the HKS units. They don t like being left in 100% then ignition off...4WD lights staying on etc
  6. Boss, If you had a Nismo or VspecII I would leave it alone as they are worth more stock than modified. The Nismo edition isnt particularly special. You could option what you wanted. The one I know of in Oz is AC, bigger steel wheel turbos with the N1 body kit with ABS, Rear wiper (like the N1) delete. I've seen a Best Motoring video with a side by side with the standard version, the Nismo being a car length quicker on the 1/4 mile. Vspec is the one to go for, better brakes, steel wheel turbos, BBS wheels. Always check the Vin on Fast, there is a thread on here somewhere
  7. No it's not Dyno sticky for RB26 turbo Edit post. My memory failed me...lol "From memory. 280whp stock, as for the zaust etc I'm not going to back that up as I really would have to look at the sheets. There are plenty threads about "what will I make with XYZ mods"
  8. This must be the fasted track build ever on SAU. I thought the HKS controllers were supposed to be a bit rudimentary; have you thought about one of those Ruzic ATTESA controllers the Shirtman is selling?
  9. The 32R was designed to conquer Group A racing...which it did. It's not a taxi stuffed with a Vette engine. For me the early 32's are business. A bit lighter than the later 32s and more nimble and lighter than the 33's. The 34's are different again. It is the purest of the breed; of those the Nismo, Vspec, Vspec II and the N1 are the ones to look for. There are a few of issues with the 32 that I can recall. 1. The upper control arms dont allow for enough camber. If your tracking it, it's an issue. It can be remedied with eccentric bushes, dog bones or 3 or 5 degree Cusco or Nismo items. It's not a problem if your mainly on the street 2. Hicas pfft. Locking bar in and rip the rest out to save yourself 15+Kg 3. ATTESA computer is a bit 1st gen. From memory. 280whp stock, 330 with the zaust, dumps, front pipe, Power FC and boost. Check the dyno sticky in the induction section
  10. It's good that he got back to you Greg. I still stand by my original statement. Probable cause is what ever they make up on the day. Could you imagine taking a cop to court over an expired engine that he/she may have caused lol. As for the recording of conversations...you can under federal telecommunications law record a persons conversation if you tell them your intent, I don t see why being face to face would change that. As for recording it without knowledge I cant imaging a half decent lawyer allowing any illegally recorded conversation to impune their client. Next project...i'm engaging a brief to get an opinion on this lol
  11. ^^^^ Nothing is ever a major hassle as there are so many around and such a strong knowledge base, but... Look for service records from a recognised specialist. Take it to someone with a proven track record with GT-Rs/RB26 and get it fully inspected. Develop a good relationship with a recognised tuner...guidance is useful and trust is important If you buy one you will be the subject of more unwanted attention...police, idiots occasionally. If you modify it take your time and plan based on usage and finances An already modified R can save you lots, if it's been looked after. Research the forums...often. You are not the first guy to buy an R so most of the questions have been asked and answered Always spend the extra few dollars to buy the right gear...redline oil over K-mart, Japanese or Oz over china knock offs. Especially on the parts that are stressed. There is always plenty of gear to buy in the FS section. What goes wrong??? These aren't new cars. Check the clutch to see that it has meat, check that it has good oil...oil control can be an issue if raced, check 3rd gear synchro for the same reason. Check the timing belt has been done preferably before time, check that it's not re-birthed or encumbered. Suspension is relatively cheap to replace but a dud engine or g'box is more pricey. If you buy an early 32R check for signs of higher than stock boost levels as the ceramic impellers fracture. Prolonged boosting at 13-14psi means your on borrowed time. Having said that there are plenty of second hand and new N1 etc turbos that can replace them...and when you do, it's time for spending money on dumps, front pipe, 3inch exhaust...may as well. Finally, Remember not to be too superior when a Scoobie pulls up next to you at the lights. Be humble...your driving a GT-R
  12. Grey QF's..pricey but light. Super nice Much guard rolling Andrew???
  13. The Japanese tend to have quite a few pandas as white is the national racing colour of Japan and CF is black. BB's travel thread has some nice pics of a couple Garage Saurus 32Rs...
  14. Unique1. I looked at the OMP WRC but as my R is still used on the street I decided to pass as the front of the side bolster is pretty high...although on the XL they are lower. The good news is the WRC is an "always in stock" item, so you should be able to pick them up straight away. Last time I spoke with GOGEAR they were in stock. I went for the ARS as they are a medium side bolster but low in the front, unfortunately they are not a "always in stock" item so they have to be freighted over. The GRIP didnt turn my crank so I passed. If I were buying for a track only scenario I would be going for something with head restraints. The PISTA has them, it's HANS compatible and a bit wider in the seat...which is handy
  15. Bloody yanks...I new this was going to happen For Jeebus sake, pull your pants up, put your hat on straight, stop flashing gang signs and leave the R35 alone you pack of arse hats
  16. reported
  17. If your going for some kind of mono chromatic deal...black wheels, dark tint etc then sure. If not...dont bother
  18. Agree, the right wheels are key. I like the idea of it...kinda rat 'Line sorta thing. You cant do this sort of thing half way
  19. No I wouldnt I call bullshit How do these people dress themselves in the morning without cutting an major artery...FAIL!!!
  20. "I suspect there are controlled substances in your car"...basically they make up their reasonable cause "If anyones gonna blow up my car it's me" or "sorry officer you cant handle the awsoma powa of the 'Line" lol. Srsly. I would sooner have my car trailered away *after setting the PFC to "idiot mode" of course* than some clown with a badge sit there and rev the guts out...That's if I couldn't get to the computer before the cop got to the car..It's not that he's a cop it's the lack of respect they show, the fact that many of them couldn't find there arse with both hand and a flash light and what is the purpose of revving my car??? Sure they may suspect it's loud but revving the thing to the limiter repeatedly for the amusement of their colleagues is unprofessional and unnecessary. Thus perpetuating the stereo type. end rant Agreed
  21. Hey Paul... I have a cat in mind
  22. What are they like to live with? Well...it leaves the lid of the tooth paste up all the time, it puts empty juice containers back in the fridge and drinks. Srsly, a well maintained and modified R32 GT-R is a weapon. It strikes fear in owners of lesser breeds, makes small children wave and chicks giggle when the boost is on. I'm lucky to be able to afford my R as a second car and that means I drive it for pleasure only, look after it and it will serve you well. Just make sure the by a good one. Cheap and reliable...you can only have one
  23. Good thinking there MunKyb0y. I did a search on TNT and there are a number of dissatisfied 'Liners . Having said that I've had some gear turn up no probs.
  24. ...and no I don t mean fish I'm negotiating with someone over east to by some rims...*yes Brad I said I was done for a while lol*. The seller seems like a reasonable guy but I don't really want to part with the coin before I get my hands on the gear. Has anyone recommend a carrier that will deliver wheels COD. Failing that does anyone have a strategy for ensuring they get to Perth I don t get ripped? Discuss
