  1. great job guys...er and gal way to fly the flag
  2. Now that sounds like fun, but any time you can have a safe controlled environment to try out you moves must be a good thing Yes, but it was all good fun..infront of dozen ppl from the club Vengence shall be mine when W.A. Suspension set up my circuit spec SK suspension package, or maybe i'll just run off into the scenery at a higher mph. Yes plz As for the HICAS issue, find a diagram with the search button then crawl under the back end and look for the bar, 33's are easier to disable than my 32 and you can get the bar cheap cheap from a forum member
  3. Cant remember the cost but it wasnt a lot, Ant at Xspeed did them, maybe an hour or two. No coatings on mine, UAS were'nt offering the service when i changed mine over. When you look at the exchange price over what the SS manifolds would cost its $200 extra for something that is proven technology, legal and it definately bolts on. Check um out in the GTR\exhaust section at UAS
  4. I dont think there is alot to be gained, I had mine cleaned up a to match my 2860's and that was it. When i do the rebuild i'll get them extrude honed and a high temp coating. UAS do an exchange deal with extrude honed and coated manifolds. UAS claim around 17% increase of flow according to their flow bench test.
  5. AHG...sooner rather than later.
  6. I was at the rod show yesterday and had a go at getting some there, the problem is there are now so many options the staff arent 100% sure and the brochure sucks. Best bet is always go the the licensing office, pref East Perth
  7. You'd be right...some more but shot through the front window would be nice
  8. mmmmm interesting, tell us more...thread now totally off topic
  9. Comes with a coil over kit, but there are alot of guys who are very happy and producing good lap times with the tiens, mine should be out of the shop in a few weeks so i'll post the results.
  10. See ya there in a few weeks Check out the Group Buy thread for suspension kits by Sydney Kid, cat knows his stuff. Ask him about revalving the shocks for a track orientated spec or go to W.A. suspensions and see Rod Ryan or Brad (skyline owners) and get some adjustable teins. Or leave it alone and have some money for living your life
  11. Well didnt this nice welcome and good natured ribbing exercise turn to sh!t. Well Trent you've past your first test...putting up with people on this forum No, I mean you lost control, got it back and didnt put the car up a tree. Good job Well...Hell yes, I wish I did, but I didnt so I worked hard and well... Join Join Join...dam members cruise on while my cars in the shop Jealous Silvia The good natured ribbing is starting to get not so good natured - cut the dude some slack ppl, welcome snatCh and good luck with the ride.
  12. I was wondering when i would start seeing the mods start changing into rebuilds. One only has to look at the muscle car scene to see where we're headed. Excellent work and great commitment Deren. Ant idea how much $$$ you saved by stripping and reassembling it your self?
  13. Dont mess with fate. Save your self the grief and change them before they fail
  14. Yes, i have read the other threads on the topic I've finally sourced a perfect ( for all intensive purposes) drivers window and i'm about to install it. Has anyone actually done the job and what if any are the lessons/tips learned? I have the part numbers from the other thread (80324-04U00 superceded by 80324-04U03), but i cant find the part or part # on the FAST diagram, Little help?
  15. Yeah well maybe but not while my cars in the shop They seem like nice boys, but they stay up late and make too much noise Week 1- Replace turbos, ECU, Pipes and tune Week 2- Replace brown jeans Week 3- Rescue car from tree, replant tree Week 4- Push bike J/J
  16. Bugger I'll be there fro TAS in January . Any reason or just seasonaly open.
  17. LOL ..i believe you Back in the day...1970 ish, a couple of american pro stock cars were known to have taillights crafted from lead to aid in weight transfer. Sox and Martin from memory. But i'm reasonably sure that ANDRA scruitineers would knock back the blue metal plan.
  18. The one phrase i havent seen on this thread is "fit for purpose". I saw a Dutton on Fox a few weeks ago and some cat in an Audi TT had a country bridge closed because the centre of his chromed alloy wheel parted ways with the rest off the wheel, yes it was in a similar vane as the yellow 33. If your going to be bouncing off ripple strips and running decent MPH i would suggest a set of forged wheels..both for weight and safety. Price wise you could get a set of R33 GT-R wheels cheapish or drop some major coin on some Volks ect. But thats not what your post is about, get what ever turns your crank just remember it should be "fit for purpose"
  19. I checked my rule book and i couldnt find the section on civil construction materials, I bet an SFI spec'ed bag of bluemetal would be expensive.
  20. Theres the money question right there. There have been a number of suggestions on this isse and i've yet to read of a definitive fix. The fixes range from issues with aftermarket BOV's, changing to bigger cams to promote flow, lack of or poorly tuned computers, and running a bridged manifold. Search and search again, Good luck
  21. Yes...Car good...yes
  22. I've finally sourced a perfect ( for all intensive purposes) drivers window and i'm about to install it. Has anyone done the job and what if any are the lessons learned? Also which Nissan dealer did you use to source the new guides etc???
  23. Mine is wired and a telephone socket connects the unit to power. Nice unit but as I said....
  24. I own a bell something, paid a decent price as well. It now lives in a draw in my garage waiting fro me to decide wheather to reinstall it. I dont know; i think these things are like weight benches...you get all enthusiastic about the purchase and when you get them you use them for a while then they end up as an expensive dust collector. I found that even on "country" mode i still got a lot of false alarms. I prefer to scan the road side, remember the hot spots, watch the traffic and just be a bit more selective in when i stretch the GT-Rs legs. Still...its you cash Buy one local...not sure about OS radar frequencies. Best check with legallity of owning one and where to place it on your car, each state is different
