In Melbourne last week for a design symposium, Nissan's chief creative officer Shiro Nakamura confirmed the news and revealed that the most recent of the GT-R concepts the Proto shown at last year's Tokyo motor show was 90 per cent production ready. The new-generation version....is tipped to run a high-performance twin-turbocharged V6, possibly up to 3.8 litres in capacity with an output of approximately 380kW. The V6 is likely to be mated to a close-ratio seven-speed sequential gearbox and drive all four wheels, technology that could push the price past $150,000 by the time it goes on sale. Mr Nakamura said he was happy with the way the GT-R had turned out, despite a long gestation period stretching back five years when the first concept was shown at the 2001 Tokyo motor show. He admitted that Nissan had rushed the first concept out because many people in Japan, where the car is considered an icon, had thought the GTR was going to stop production. From a design point of view I have no worries about the life of the design because it stands out, he said. I'm not inferring anyone in this discussion does, but if you wear your ball cap contrary to manufacturers instructions (Y0), have the doof set to 11 and your chair in shuttle take-off position then you just make yourself a target. Drive like a citizen, pick your moment to impress the seat cover an maintain a low profile Think carefully about the mods you want and how it\you will be percieved, when you invite attention, that's what you get. Hey Peter, glad to see someone running a 32, seems like alot more 33's and 4's over there. I'm using these turbos on my R32GTR, dont know if my numbers will help you though. My engine is standard internals with adjustabke cam gears, dumps etc and Power FC. It makes 406 hp at the back wheels at...from memory as i'm in off-shore at the moment, at 16 psi. Just about maxed out the stock injectors. As kwazza11 said check out the rb26 turbo upgrade sticky Good luck and keep us posted with your dyno results

Hey No one, sorry i'm a million miles from my R at the mo, so i cant post the sheets. Check out turbobygarrett.com and you can see the maps, Mine is making 406hp at the back wheels, I picked up 70rwhp on a 17 year old engine...fuel system running out of puff now. Every combo is different and so is the tune up. Find a good tuner and ask to see some dyno sheets.

Hey No one I recently bought a pair of Garrett GT2860R - 707160-5 and i'm happy. Lots of power on tap and very drivable. My current RB is getting a bit long in the tooth for big boost and HP, but i'm still having lots of fun. Had some adjustable cam gears fitted as well as the usual bolt on mods TURBINE: Wheel dia. = 53.8 mm Trim = 76 A/R = 0.64 COMPRESSOR: Trim = 62 Inducer = 47.2 Exducer = 60. A/R = 0.60

I can only tell you of where i went 100K service, doesnt matter if its got 98K or 50K on the clock, you will have a sound base to work from Redline fluids Brake fluid 3inch exhaust front pipe power fc boost controller (1 bar) Adjustable cam gears (both) = 250rwkw + some drag racing = "hey whats with all the smoke and where is all the power!" (Damn ceramic wheels!) IMHO Whatever you do be realistic about your expectations and consider the risks. I dont know your circumstances but if you want to start spending cash on it by all means go nuts. I did; now i'm asking the forum questions about mods on a 300rwkw combo and contemplating the rebuild next year ....but if you dont, get the service, get a new stereo (is that what young ppl are calling them these days?), fix stuff that becomes an issue and enjoy driving it for a while...After all it's a still a GTR

Hey Guys Injectors: Definately going to step them up, I'll need them later (hope not sooner) anyway Pump: 17 yr old pump, what could it hurt, I'll have to change it anyway for the rebuild. The nismo item seemed kinda pricey when a 044 flows similar numbers, but by the time i do the pump and all the rest of the extras it probably wont be that much cheaper. Plus it keeps the revenue raisers of my back when they want a stickybeak. Forgive a nooby question...If I go with the Nismo item and 700cc injectors on this current combo will i need a fuel pressure reg seeing i'm not running the injectors close to their potential? Thanks all, I've done the reading and i'm now aware of the magnitude of the job (oil pump) and it will have to wait for the rebuild. This engine is only comming apart once. As far as the fuel system goes, ive sent the e-mail and i'll make the call to my tuner and discuss it tonight ...or is that day over there.
