  2. Hey guys, I have spent a great deal of time building my engine and comming close to putting it back in. I have a GT35r with a .82 housing and the mods to back this up but wondering if it is worth spending the money on Nismo mounts or just get new standard mounts. Do the nismo mounts increase the amoutn of vibration due to them being stiffer? Can people give me their advise (esp if they have them) as to which way to go as I don't want to be pulling the engine out anytime soon. The car will mainly be street driven with occasional track and show duties. Cheers Mushroom

  12. nice rx7 will be a real collectors car ahh thats why we still pay so much in tax for importing cars (well that is the theory) I say stop protecting two companies who are suppose to be australian (both owned overseas) and make it a real competition. Because at the moment we are awarding two companies who really are making lesser qualitiy cars and are even themselves taking overseas cars and rebadging them to try and make up their sales (cough opel vectas). NZ did this and yes they did kill their local companies off, but there are less bombs on the road there as cars are a lot more affordable and come with more safety features then what the old bombs did.
  13. I think the haltech has many advantages and has to be one of the front runners stil being produced. there is a mod you can do to them which on detection of knock retard the timing, a guy on hte rx7 forums has done this and reported it works well. It monitors temp etc as you can set when the thermo fans kick in if you so wish and some other extras depending on what you use the car for (ie launch control for all the drag racers outh there). there are at least 3 tuners i know of in brisbane that can tune haltechs so I don't see there to be a problem finding qualified people to work on them.
  14. ahh you get that but look on the brightside it gave you years of fun and a smile to your face most of the time
  15. please stop filling this thread with crap either swap cars or say its up for sale. By pi$$ farting around you deter other buyers and also the person you want to swap with.
