To Buy A 32gtr Or 33gtr?
RRR32_GoDzIlLa replied to slaughter's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
for about 30-35k (which is what a budget 33 would cost) you could get a r32 1993-1994 vspec with a complete rebuilt engine with forged internals and new turbos or turbo. new clutch/gearbox. pretty much the 'godzilla works burger combo'. so i'd go that. -
i have 32gtt plates that i can't sell, should i put them on my gtr??? Have been thinking bout getting ppq to send them out in the clour of my gtr cuz they look good but not sure cuz it wouldn.t really make sense. tho most people have no idea anyway. would like you all to tell me what to do

i didnt buy my gtst for 20k, prob cuz i bought it without an engine. im just making a point
-
hardcore racing on moss st tuned my gtr and i'm very happy with results. i have pfc etc... prob cheaper than mercury even with the discount but i'd ring both. both places are a good bunch of guys

if you drop a rb26 in you'll have to change so much shit. seriously not worth it. it'll cost more than buying a gtr and you cant sell a gtst with an rb26 for more than a gtr. you'll regret it. go for reliability. buy a freshly reco'd rb20. or drop a second hand one in and sell the whole car if u want a lot more power. it will be sooooooooooo much cheaper this way. don't have to replace computer, gearbox etc...

i've noticed a common trend on these forums where someone posts up that they have just bought a new car and how rapt they are, they detail specs and how much they payed, then always at least one or two people feel it necessary to bum them out and say ' i wouldn't have payed that much' or 'you got ripped off' and so on. Obviously the person purchasing the car either has plenty of cash so they don't care or they looked around a lot at car yards and privately and most likely got the best deal they could in their area. Just because you might think you're cool cuz u have connections to people who import skylines and get them dirt cheap, doesn't mean that if someone payed more than what u can get em for that they got ripped off. Or that you have time to spend forever getting the best deal, flying interstate and what not. Maybe some people would rather pay a bit more and buy locally or from a car yard, where they get a warranty!!! It's completely bull shit and i see it all the time on here. have others noticed this??? just cuz person 'A' can get a bucket of shit 32 gtst for 11K doesnt mean that if person 'B' buys a clean 32 gtst with a warranty and other extra's for 20k that they got ripped off. f*kn stop being prats and wake up to yourselves

i have the viper pager. there great for keyless entry and having an alarm but the pager itself is pretty useless. i think its supposed to be a km radius but its more like 20 metres. if i could buy another i'd buy that gktech mobile phone paging system.

What Would You Pay For This R32 Gtr
RRR32_GoDzIlLa replied to arrow's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
well if u really want a vspec, do it - but i dont think you'll be able to sell it for that much. if it makes u happy and u hav the money, fair enough but u definately wont make money on it. amd even tho it looks in top nik, i promise u it will cost just as much in repairs as ne other gtr. 15yrs old or 12yrs old, vspec or non vspec -

RRR32_GoDzIlLa replied to arrow's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
besides private imports than. that's always going to be cheaper and obviously most of the time riskier. tho on the local market i stand by my point with gtr prices. i think australian market value is like 25k. can anyone verify this. can ne1 answer what a 32 gtr is actually worth and not what they can get one for. -

where exactly can u buy a gc to vgc 90's gtr for 16,500 or anywhere near that price. every gtr near that price is not in vgc. - www.carsales.com. please explain. and in response to othres comments about having to spend too much on non-vspecs compared to 90 model gtrs is garbage. a couple of years newer isnt going to make much diff. buy a nice looking 90 gtr and with the money u save buy pfc and a couple of garrett or hks turbs and put a vspec badge on it because thats probably what u want the most neway. -
