  1. just had a tune with power fc and wound up the boost to a bar. it's 32gtr with 33 gtr engine. m's air pods, hks intercooler. is this average for a 33gtr see below
  2. the engine that was in the car previously was very smokey and was rooted. This is why he replaced it with an rb26 out of a 33 and so r the turbos. ( a month or so ago) it has only been running for a couple of weeks and the oil in the engine is very clean as it has been rebuilt and the oil in the pipes is much darker. is it possible that the oil is from the old engine and the guy who put the 33 engine in did not clean out those pipes or intercooler. is it possible to tell????
  3. well the car is going in for a tune and power fc installed on tuesday and we are going to be turning the boost up to a bar. should i not turn up the boost?????
  4. do most turbos produce a bit of excess oil which coats pipes heading to intercooler and possibly thru fmic or is this a very bad sign. engine is in very good condition so it shouldnt be coming from that. are my turbo's f**ked??? i took air pods and pipes off to clean and decided to take off intrercooler piping to clean too and noticed oil as u can see below. so, whats up with that - anyone????

  7. think about it logically for a second. if they didnt pay someones claim out because of a boost controller or something similar it would kill their business. (half the people with policies would pull out). for legal resons they probably have to say they wont but they always will.

  10. i was under the impression that they wouldn't insure parts that were illegal but not void the insurance of the whole car. They said for my car they wouldnt insure my carbon fibre but everythin else was cool and covered are you sure, maybe u got summ1 who had no idea
  11. dont put gtr turbos on it. just buy a couple of garret turbos. prob the same price and new and u can cane the shit out of em

  14. Hi, i just received my new power fc in the mail from Nengun.com $1003.18 delivered. I already have profec boost control tho not hooked up yet, was waitin 4 power fc to tune them together. i cant afford to replace the turbos at the mo and need them to last for awhile. So how much boost should i be running. the car will be jumping on the dyno in the next couple of weeks and wanted to know whether it would be safe to run a bar. i did a search looking for how much boost is safe to run on Standard 33GTR turbos. (i have 32gtr with 33gtr engine/turbos). found beerbarons stats, running a bar. Is that safe???? i need them to last but want the most power i can get safely...
  15. very hard to work on. Things that are basic on most cars are a pain in arse on zx's. it gets to the point where it seems like the engine has to come out to do anything. and i dont really like the look of em either

  19. exedy heavy duty is what i put in my 32gtst. i like the feel of it and it has served me well. i'd try searching or posting in the nsw section for sydney mechs

  21. i felt the sarcasm was necessary i dont have huge power but i don't boast that i do, so i was saying if he wanted to say that he blows away gtrs he should explain how. as i have a lot of respect for the 34 gtr's and wouldnt say that and i have it over them. the car is a great package and most people who can afford to buy a 34gtr could prob afford to do some minor mods to bump up its output.
  22. i would get the power fc unit. it will make life a lot easier in the long run. check out nengun.com, my mate just got one off them for under 1K new.

  24. well, power wise then. Why don't u take the gtr badges off to make the car lighter. and for the record, i wouldn't have a problem spending 10 times what a gtr's worth on a gtst if i wanted a commfortable rear wheel drive car. We are enthusiests. GTR's don't suit everyone. but i really dont agree with the plates and badges. i would be very embarrassed to drive that car. sorry
