  1. Youd think so wouldnt you ... 2-3 years the plugs would be absolutely worn out... how often do you change the oil ect... ???
  2. lol agreed mate. Good luck getting a straight answer
  3. Nice mate cant wait to see it in action it looks like it will be an absolute weapon.
  4. Nice figures mate must be fun to drive now
  5. get it looked at asap mate or you may be up for a engine rebuild, check your plugs mine were wrong gap causing knock but not that bad...
  6. info on rb26 cams in rb20 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...l=gtr+cams+rb20
  7. thats rediculas. Id love to know whats under the hood.
  8. I have a trust turbo back exhaust, no muffler just the cannon on the back and of course a trust cat midway through. Other then geing rediculasly load on full load it sounds great. Doesnt sound drony to me but others might think otherwise.
  9. do a compression test on the cylinders and check if the bottom end is still healthy.
  10. The heads flow is extremely important deffinately best left to a proper engine builder with experience.
  11. Have you had any experience tuning before? It would be adviseable not to mess around if you havnt or you could potentially damage your engine. I dont no how those things work as soon as they have been plugged in as far as settings. For example the powerfc has the base r33 tune so you can run your car safely before tuning.
  12. 14 psi isnt alrite mate lol.. your turbo will most likely fail and when it does you can get ceramic dust in the engine and bye bye engine. Its not even in its compressor efficiency range at the level so if you want to risk fcking your turbo + engine then feel free to do so. Its got nothing to do with the bearing but to do with the heat destorying the ceramic wheel sending it straight of the shaft. Do your self a favour and do some research before you do anything else.
  13. this is a rather old thread. But since you dug it up matt what times did you run in your car ??
  14. If you attempt to port a head yourself without any experience chances are you will make it flow worse and uneven. I wouldnt even thing about it.. This is going to be an expensive project ... all the best
  15. very nice car mate all the best with your sale
  16. your not going to get a more serious comment then the last one. No one will look twice at this without it. Lets be serious mate. No location or condition ... not even a contact detail other then posting here in the thread or PM. Whos not being serious?
  17. i didnt notice much or any difference in power after i shielded my pod compared to before it was shielded.. I wouldnt imagine that it would cause that large a difference.
  18. ahwell you will pay an aweful lot more for a ferrari ill just take the GTR for now.
  19. covered alot of times pro's vs cons ect ect. More options with a aftermarket turbos, hiflow looks stock and you can get them cheap. How much power do you want? what do you want the power for street, track, strip ?
  20. You have to think maybe if so many people give you similiar advise they mite be onto something. If your not happy with other peoples generally outlook on a situation then make a decision on your own grounds. And i have nothing particularly to say about your choice of car other then you should deffinately be sticking to your licence guidelines.
  21. He wasn't saying that it would increase economy but if you were to test the fuel's in a performance engine so it wouldnt pre detonate during the test with the lower octane fuel
  22. I wouldnt expect to see any difference between the two within a couple of percent. But alot of peoples minds will tell them differently when driving on the road but there are to many variables that will affect economy to do an accurate fill up with one then the other road test with traffic, highway driving vs local ect ect.
  23. premium has a slightly higher heating value than regular and, thus can provide slightly better fuel economy. The main reason for high octane fuel is that its actually more difficult to ignite which reduces the risk of pre detonation. So really the only reason that anyone should by premium is to ensure they dont get detonation. Not in false hopes they will gain large amounts of fuel economy as the difference between the premium and regular is very small..
  24. i get 500k's to a tank in my r33 with powerfc, hi flow turbo, arc intercooler, full exhaust dump pipe ect ect. And thats with some healthy driving so id imagine id get 550+ if i never kissed 6 grand.
  25. Hello, Im very interested in one of these for my R33 as i dont want all the extra piping. Have you had any customers use this intercooler utilizing the standard return pipes? If so can you supply the piping to use the standard returns or know where it can be sourced? Regards, Dan
