  1. Can i ask why you have 850cc injectors and never chased more power then 200rwkw? Especially when you have a set up that could make alot more with just boost and tuning?
  2. Your really pushing a standard bottom end at 300+rwkw. I hope your tuner knows what they are doing if you want it to last at that power level.

  4. i made 210 rwkw on 10psi hi flowed turbo in my r33 with my arc sidemount. I have a front mount byt im keeping mine sitting in my shed and im planning on holding onto it for now. They are a great intercooler. If you are only after a 200rwkw car and want to keep unreal response this is the key.
  5. compression and leakdown test is fine for determining an engines health. You will know if you have got a problem mate you cant miss an engine that has done a bearing.
  6. Agreed only the odd rare example would have k's close to 80k. Id feel happy to know what the car has actually travelled.
  7. you have a r34 stock turbo. To hiflow a turbo they bore it out and replace the standard wheels with bigger steel wheel internals. This lets it flow alot more air and run more boost then a standard turbo. Generally making it around a 450hp turbo.

  9. Which is why i said unless the sidemount was a restriction. For this to be the case seeming he was using a r34 sidemount he would have had to be in the facinity of 200+rwkw. But before this intercooler would become a restriction you would be experiencing detonation and heatsoak once you tried to push it past its capabilities. So i think it would be unlikely that it was causing an issue regarding response on his car.

  13. Not having a go but that isnt really possible i feel that the improvement you were thinking you felt was in your head. Unless ofcourse the intercooler was a retriction to the power you were making. Look at it like this, with the sidemount the volume that has to be filled before making boost is very small. The standard return pipes and the intercooler itself. Then compare that to all the piping and the 600x300 intercooler that needs to be filled before you will achieve boost after installing a front mount intercooler. Low down response will deffinately suffer as a result. It may not be a huge decrease in response but there will deffinately be a decrease.
  14. bigger is deffinately not better. The perfect intercooler is matched to the car considering the size of the turbo and the power the car is making. A big intercooler will only cause lag... Its similiar to having a 800hp turbo on a car making 300rwhp. All you have achieved is unneccessay lag and undrivability. Similiar to that effect with intercoolers. There is no point in having a intercooler designed to flow and cool for a 1000hp engine when you are only going to run 200rwkw. It will just creates lag. I put went back to my arc sidemount after driving my car with a just jap cooler because i was unhappy with the difference in responce. It was to big for my application.
  15. I love the car mate.. All the best with the sale. I think 20k is just to cheap for a car of this quality. It a real shame how the market has died in the last year.
  16. Aftermarket fuel pump is a good idea mate. That could even be causing it to detonate if the standard pump is failing to supply at 6grand wot +, when did you change your spark plugs last and to what gap?
  17. It was blowing black smoke which is caused from excess fuel from not changing the oil?
  18. What are you just doing a power run with those mods? Have you got any tuning device? Safc or anything? If not then id say its your ecu mate and you cant do anything to get around that without an aftermarket ecu or piggy back
