oh... am i getting ripped off then...

hey guys managed to get a skyline r32 gtr the other day and picked it up been driving it around and just a couple of things dont feel right with it but im not sure if it's the same with everyone else. the first thing is with the steering. there seems to be a lot of free play on the steering wheel when im going in a straight line or around some little bends at normal speed the steering wheel wobbles around a bit and if i dont keep my hands firmly on it who knows where the car is gonna be spinning off to. the other thing is with the brakes. it's got some expensive brembo brakes on the front and they squeal pretty loud when you're about to stop. they make no noise when braking hard but it's just when you tap on them a bit they are loud and it's a bit annoying. it would be great to see what you guys think, or if i should take it to a mechanic and check it out to be safe. thanks for the responses in advance.

hi i am in the market looking for a r32 gtr. however, i am a bit confused by the differences between the 89 to the 94 models. is it something about the front bar where there are two square things next to where the car plate is or something? any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

ok i had a look at the car today and the exterior and interior seemed fine. the engine is said to just have had a full rebuild at incar motorsport but the owner hasnt driven it before and the car isnt registered. so the car isnt available to test drive since it isnt registered so it seems very iffy. is it possible that the car cant be registered or else the owner would have registered it himself. i mean everything sounds and looks good but i cant bring the car to another workshop to check it out, and i cant test drive it plus there is no registration. would you buy a car under these conditions?

hi im going to test drive my first skyline today and i am a noob with cars and everything so i was wondering if i should take it to a mechanic to see if everything is alright. how long can i test the car for and i wanted to know any honest mechanics i can take it to inspect around wetherill park. thanks

yeh i am in the same situation as well looking for a r32 gtr and i was wondering how important is the number of kms on the engine. i mean if the car has over 100000kms on it does that mean that its gonna go some time soon even if it has been serviced regularly?

hi everyone i am looking where to get the original r32 gtr rear wing and would it be a bother to put that onto the car. how much would it cost around and how much to get that installed? i live in sydney. thanks

ok i am in the market to get a r32 gtr and i am a noob about cars and skylines and the price seems to be going around 22000 or so for a decent one. many of these cars have only got around 70000km on the odometer and it seems quite unlikely since it has been around for about 15 years. how can i know if the kms are real? also is there anything in particular i need to look out for in these cars i really have no idea so maybe i should take it to a proper mechanic to get it checked out and so does anyone have an idea on where is a good place in sydney? i am curious about the engine. so this is the rb26det is that correct? and that would be the same as the one on the r33 and r34 gtr so is there any difference between these engines and does that mean that they are just as quick as each other? thanks for the help.
