Is My Clutch Master Cylinder Stuffed?
stuartlaw_78 replied to stuartlaw_78's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
It looks intack... how can I tell for sure? -
Hi all, I've had a clutch problem where my clutch would slowly get worse and worse where it wouldn't select gears. It gets to a point where I can't engage gears but when I look at my master cylinder, it's still full!! There was a damaged line but I have now since replaced the standard lines with a braided line that gooes straight from the master to slave. I have read the tutorials and tried bleeding the clutch but no matter what I do, I can't get any pressure on the pedal!! It's almost as though the pedal isn't prooviding anny hydraulic pressure sommehow???? It just flicks to the floor from the spring and I need my hand to get it back again. I thought there was just air iin the line but I've tried opening the nipples one at a time and nothing comes out! Even the nipple at the master cylinder doesn't have any liquid coming out of it when I pump the pedal.. What's going on people?? Any ideas? PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks guys, I think that I could get over 250rwkws, good to get other peoples opinions.... Yeah, bigger injectors is probably a goa. The standard ones are getting old now and I think are around the 350cc mark??? -
Hi all, as mentioned above, does anyone offer ECU and FMIC kits? In other words, does anyone offer anything as a package deal??
-
Hi all, I have built up my engine with..... -Weisco forged pistons (20thou oversized), -bored and honed, balanced parts, -shot peened rods, -ARP rod bolts, head studs, exsuast studs, etc.. -Hi-flowed turbo, -Jim Berry 'Full Monty' clutch kit, -Walbro fuel pump, -Fully rebuilt gearbox from 'Fizgerald Racing' (Awesome guys - race porshes, they know their stuff) -3 inch custom exhuast with no CAT, -Greddy timing belt and good old pod filter...... It's just a mild package but I also want to know your thoughts on what sort of power I could safely put through this setup with the right ECU and FMIC?? What else should I do? I would like to get 250rwkws..... is it good for it??

Hi all, I'm in desperate need of new clutch lines. They got jacked up on with a trolley jack (thanks to my cousin!!) and crimped them. Now they don't pass fluid and one has a leak. I might as well change the whole thing. I'm looking through the search function but can anyone speed up the process and tell me what suppliers I can get some lines from? Braided?? thanks, Stuart

Mate, do your homework before you go giving advice. Dr Drift certainly do R33 ECU's... I just had mine done... $1200... -

Microtech Ecu Or Dr Drift?
stuartlaw_78 replied to stuartlaw_78's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yeah, it's looking like Dr Drift for me... that was what I was leaning towards anyway. They sound like they know what they are doing.... -
Hi all.. I have the choice of getting a Microtech for my R33 or going to Dr Drift so they can tinker with my ECU and still get some big power out of it. Microtech is about $1400-$1500 from one of our suppliers here and to get my ECU done, Dr Drift quoted me about $1300... I thought Dr Drift were cheaper then that and now I don't know what to do!! What are your thoughts people??

Gearbox Oil Change
stuartlaw_78 replied to Jay95R33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Putting the Redline stuff in is fine guys but just remember that it is only masking the fact that your gearbox is probably worn and will continue to getr worse... Start saving those pennys!!! I just rebuilt my box (R33 RB25DET - 1993) and it cost me a bit.... If you have a series 2, it's not too bad but there are some parts, ie. sliding hubs, they don't make anymore for series 1 and there are heaps of other major parts that need to be replaced when you put in the series 2 syncro... Anyway, that's my 2 cents.... -
New Gearbox Oil?
stuartlaw_78 replied to stuartlaw_78's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Stupid me forgot to ask them and I will be asking them on Monday but thought that I'd find out some info from my fellow Skyline owners... I def won't be using the Redline shockproof after reading about the product. It is certainly meant for worn gearboxes and not boxes with new gears and syncros in them.... Be careful with your choices people.....
