  1. weekend id be keen once car is rego'd. although Im just sick of all the VT-VY P platers that try and race you with their southern cross stickers and chev badges.
  2. they were a cool race series. hey look, I was there at the start...lol
  3. cheers lads, we have an i30 diesel and love it! so I guess makes sense to look at the same badge. Ben, I know my way around insurance, thats not an issue industry knowledge hehe regarding km's on a diesel, they are best at 100k yeah? just been ran in? isnt that the joke? lol
  4. ok, whats diesel, can tow, be a family car and within 5 years old that is under 20k? I actually like a skoda octivia wagon diesel but can only tow 1300kg. well..Id prefer them to a commodore wagon
  5. ok, no idea why cannot post pics
  6. cant recall if posted mine...so here tis http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/295815_10150338946551076_536561075_8685554_1395701966_n.jpg http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/293288_10150258755646076_536561075_8159360_4065899_n.jpg just after I grinded it back, primer and coats
  7. I saw on FB was 1000 for a daewoo which includes everything. I got offered a co drive in a Pug (for less) although didnt make it cause it was my 30th and got totally shitfaced. considering doing it next year and either getting a co drive or doing the daewoos
  8. so did anyone else get a PM from Mitchell Fuller? I did, wants me to come around to his palce and 'he'll sort me'
  9. hey Stu, how did you find turn 6 with the no little righty bit?
  10. FYI...state supersprint cost for EC north is $245.... if its that much for 70+ entrants...hate to see what it'll cost SAU. not to be a negative nancy here, just EC is a rip. I dont even see myself racing there this year. I said it in the other thread (events coming up) the people who are heavily into motorsport want timed days and some sort of competition. someone memntioned earlier SSCC days. they are packed! but then again it is a motorsport orientated club who want friendly competition. they also had a joint day with HSV last friday and had 60 entrants! not bad for a friday. other track days have official timing + professional instrcutors. maybe people were scared off with the whole RENEW thing in 2011? Going back a few years the SAU days seemed to sell out.
  11. lol and you joined yesterday.... do you also have a van that has free candy on the side?
  12. matt...but could still be outside their u/w guidelines regardless of how low the risk is. things have changed since you were at shannons.
  13. Afaik NSCc is a timed day and they also run a club championship. Compare apples with apples steveo.... Also going back a few years ago how come these days were sold out? What's changed since then? When I was vice pres there was talk of an Sau club champ. People these days that are into track days will more likely enter a day with timing or a comp, like a supersprint series. This is more like a speed off the streets day but with passengers. Maybe people got scared off the whole renew vs Sau days from last year? To me the only benefit of these days is the passenger seats. There are no qualified instructors and no timing, and not a comp. That's my thoughts and you need to look at all options and situations as to why. Ask the members on the day as to why they entered and what can be done to promote these days. Suttonroad will appeal to more people. That event kicks ass!!!! Unfortunately I cannot make that due to family commitments.
  14. anyone know if round 1 is still accepting entries? even if you havbenmt registered for the season..?
  15. booki - you need to clarify which type of cars! if its a standard i30 that you dont care about, any of the online insurers. skyline? all been posted in here, the best thing is to call eazch company, get a quote, read each PDS and choose wisely. OR pay a bit extra, go through an insurance broker who will find you the right cover and do all the hard work for you. ant123 - of course they'd say that on the phone, most people will read it straight from the PDS some people on the phones wont even give you a "hypothetical" of a situation. their answer is the PDS with policy conditions, exclusions and limitations.
  16. thanks for the tips guys, finally got it done this morning at SBO
