  4. Doh, If you get stuck and want to rebuild one, I have an old high flow you can buy for $100.00 Then take it to GCG or someone else and get them to rebuild with high flow - unsure how much that would cost but worth looking into, would get a great power increase!

However Ive decided to get some cams, a bit serious on the head work itself, adaptronic ECU. just trying to save up! If I wasnt getting married next weekend it would be on the track carving up the competition LOL but.....wedding is more important...says the mrs.. LOL

  18. AFAIK - you'll be in the combined sedans class anyway so whether its a 3D or a 2F car - you'll be fine. If your wanting to be in the championship for MRA you'll be in the over 2L class. then its just slicks or treaded class. Hoever, it does say "All cars must comply with the relevant CAMS category rules that the car was built too"

  22. Steve, You need to be a member of a club that has historic rego (sydney datsun club for example) car has to be standard, or have periodic mods. eg - cant have an SR20DET powered 1600 on club plates in NSW but can have mini lite wheels very cheap - rego/ctp is cheap and ctp is included in the rego. comprehensive insurance is bloody cheap too car has to be 30 years old can only come out for club events (average once a month) or if you have permission from club tresurer. hope this helps!
  23. You may need to look at other clubs for weekend racing like supersprints. clubs like southern sporting car club hold a combined supersprint series. SAU NSW holds a wakefield day each year which is a fun weekend - that'll be later though
  24. MRA is fun! all you need is a full cage. then get it AASA log booked. You'll need at a minimum the level 2 AASA licence which is around $60 a year. you'll need to do an OLT at wakie for that - easy as - speed of the streets day. MRA has a whole heap of different cars....mx5's, commodores, utes, falcons, torana's, kingswoods, protons, swifts, wrx's, bmw's, silvias - if its got a cage - it'll be there! thats me going slowly down the straight in the middle of the pack LOL normally around 250 - 270 a round which I think is the cheapest out there. the car itself pretty much needs a full cams approved roll cage, normal stuff also like harness, suit, gloves, shoes, helmet, fire extinguisher. My MX5 was built to CAMS 2F spec prod sports, but thats too expensive for me to race in at the moment so MRA it is. Some guys race in MRA and Irace also - Irace may have a few more rules and regs but pretty easy to understand and follow
