So standard shocks but lowered springs - ok. 50mm would certainly add some camber issues. I think my R33 was lowered around 20-25mm

DCIEVE - I have no place to store them my mx5 sits in garage, the bluebird sits on the street and so does the mrs 323... We are looking to buy a house and hopefulyl a double garage, so mx5 still in garage, buy dads berlina, and sell 323 and bluebird. I jsut wish I had the money to do everything, buy a house, buy a nice toe car, have a daily and track car....I think I need to move out of NSW to afford it all

So, serious question....with regards to the V6 commodores and their towing... what if your towing say a 900kg - 1100kg car with a 400kg trailer, say in VX to VZ V6 that ok? or illegal or not?? how does one check? Reason I ask is my Dad will be selling his immaculate VX berlina later this year and its too good to miss out on, and I have a little wiggles car, I mean MX5, so yeah, was hoping I'd be able to tow with that! Thoughts?

If I were to get a V8 ute or HSV to tow with...id be too tempted to mod that...and next thing Id need a car to tow that With my car, being a lighter mx5, Im thinking of a V6 berlina - hopefully a wagon - cause that would have to be the daily soon anyway as my mrs 323 is getting on the bluebird cant tow now I just cant justify having a big 4WD as a tow car, nowhere to park it, too expensive to run as a daily. plus for me, the mx5 would only be towed to wakie mainly

I was thinking the other day... buy an r32 gtst for 7-9k with some mods already (eg FMIC, exhaust, some suspension mods, more boost) - put a half cage, semi slicks, brake upgrade (pads and braided lines and pads) and a bucket seat - I think a total of 15k for a basic package would certainly be fun!!! hmm.....now why didnt I do that instead! haha

An EVO of some sort is top of the list for my next track car after the MX5 racer. Either that or a Clubman style kit car. Matt - the difference in that also - would be lap times! Brad is down to 1:05s IIRC and other street GTR's Ive seen are around the 1:12's @ wakie In saying that though - you'd still have fun in a street GTR round a track - hell any car really! My MX5 certainly isnt going to set any world records, but Im having fun in it and in my class in the inter club championship, its quite competitive while being raced on a very strict and limited budget!

bushes wont give you as much adjustment as upper or lower control arms will. When I just had my bushes in my r33 - I think I had -1.5 or so at the rear and -1.9 up front. This was also due to the car being slightly lower. I had a mod done with the front, I had the front cross members modified so I had -4 up front...bt that was used for track How low is your car? ifits too low, that can be an issue with getting too much neg camber.

With my R33 - I did it I think every 6 monthsm cant remember....but now Im using the lil mazda alot more on the track - I think i should do it a more often!

If they want the tassie government to chip in....what do they do for China and UAE rounds? Does China and UAE make money for the V8's more than tassie round?
