PSI_GTSII replied to dd4321's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yep, thats BS Clocked many a car, from my experience they either stay fixed to the needle, Jump around madly once they hit the end, or go backwards...!..? -

compliance duration
PSI_GTSII replied to philta's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Yes, I was told Monday Tuesday next week depending on how dirty the car is.... Anywho, went down the docks for a look see today, literally thousands of cars....tried Captain munchies bridge first, but that just overlooks the new cars, the imports are down the far (Eastern End) the best place to view them is from the new bus stop near the railway bridge. Having said that I still could'nt see shit! I counted about 7 R32 GTRs....Im pretty sure I could see yours Noose, but mine could be any number of them.. -

My car came in on the 10th also (Altlantic Highway) hopefully I can get mine today, but more likely monday tuesday next week. I'm going to do most compliance myself. Is there any good vantage spots where you can see your car at Freo docks...? And would you need binoculars..!..? -
Thoughts on Tein Coilovers
PSI_GTSII replied to PSI_GTSII's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I was having a look on the Whiteline site and there coil overs seem quite cheap, I've used whiteline stuff in the past and have been very happy with it. NISSAN SKYLINE R32 GTR FR WITH EXTRA GROOVES FOR S/LOW HEIGHT / SKYLINE R32 GTR FR MONOTUBE Code: #120330 Price: AU$295.45 (Australian Dollars) NOTE: Australian deliveries must add 10% GST NISSAN SKYLINE R32 GTR REAR WITH EXTRA GROOVES FOR S/LOW HEIGHT / SKYLINE R32 GTR RR MONOTUBE Code: #120340 Price: AU$270.91 (Australian Dollars) NOTE: Australian deliveries must add 10% GST R32 GTR Sway bars were $207ea also -
As a guide I was quoted $400 to 'tune' a PFC on R32 GTR Which is about the going rate for tune from base map....Wolf was similar.

But a 12 - 13 year old 91-92 Model GTR is'nt.....?

Saw this on another forum.... Well worth sharing! Shimobe mountain pass....ideal for drifting Minobu temple entrance... Lakeshore... Lake Shoji and Mt. Fuji.

[WLDCRD] Sorry dood I just used 92's as an example....I probably should have said 'Post 15year rule GTRs' :)
-
Anyway...back to the original question From what I have seen I do not think you'll beat Nenguns prices on the GT-SS's
-
My GTRs definately not going anywhere for a while when I get it From the pictures I have seen it looks like a great 'base' to work from everything is standard and all the parts are intact....and that is exactly what I wanted, if the motors tired it will be rebuilt...if the Paint is faded it will be resprayed...if the interiors dirty it will be Replaced / Cleaned. I think the mistake some people make, and this is perhaps why there is so many for sale is expecting them to be fantastic straight off the boat, a quick oil change and there off. Finance is so easy to get these days people stretch themselves to buy a car then when something goes wrong (or was never right) they cannot afford to fix it. Plus GTRs have so much hype surrounding them sometimes the reality may not match the expectation...! As for 89 GTRs being shitters....well I must admit...a lot I have seen as 'current stock' and on Jap yahoo Auctions do look a little rough around the edges, modified in a messy Japanese kinda way, pieces of bodykit missing, interior bits missing or removed etc, but just because you have a 92 GTR dosnt automatically qualify you as having a good one I've seen a few rough ones of them also Oh and btw mines a 90

Cars You have Owned So Far...
PSI_GTSII replied to smokin_skyline's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Im 34 and have owned at 'Least' that many cars!. Far to many to list...but heres the gist 8 Commodores, 4 Skylines, 4 Bluebirds (Fj20 & SR20's) 2 Subarus, 2 Jackaroos, 1 Starion.........and a partridge in a pear tree.... I don't think i've ever owned a car and left it standard....so plenty of $$$ spent over the years *Cry*....and I think I only made money on a couple of them! -
Thoughts on Tein Coilovers
PSI_GTSII replied to PSI_GTSII's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have heard Teins run an extremely stiff ride, plus my car will be fitted with a pair of Fixed back Sparcos which in themselves amplify any road inperfections!....but i'm happy with this as car will only ever be used as a toy, covering around 5000-10000kms per year at best and mainly used in club level competition events or cruizes. What I was wondering more than anything is they seem extremely cheap, is there anything else i'd need to install and run them in my GTR...from the description they look complete...? Got quoted a $1000 more to buy these from a local suspension joint exc fitting! -

After a bit of investigation it looks promising, my Bill of lading is Stamped on the 27/04/2005, and mentions the vessel as 'Atlantic Highway'....a quick look on Klines website reveals the following info: Vessel: Atlantic Highway Voyage: 0019 Port Name Direction Arrival Departure YOKOHAMA S 26/04/2005 26/04/2005 NAGOYA S 28/04/2005 28/04/2005 NAKANOSEKI S 30/04/2005 30/04/2005 FREMANTLE N 10/05/2005 10/05/2005 DARWIN N 17/05/2005 17/05/2005

Just a quick Query Was told by Geoff at Prestige my car was booked on a ship and should arrive May 10th tbc, and Today recieved my 'Bill of Lading' (With K Line). Does this mean my Car made the boat....? Due to Golden Week in Japan I can not contact anyone atm. Can you recieve a Bill of Lading woithout your car being on a boat...? If it did get on thats bloody quick I bought the car on March 31st! Maybe things are improving....or i'm just lucky!..?
-
Thx Simon. Not really worth it then, as 550cc injectors are no cheaper than 700cc units and the SAFC is only about $500 cheaper than the Power FC......may as well spend the extra You mean the GT25/30's..? I am actually leaning towards GT-SS atm....closely followed by 2530s...Hmmm...decisions decisions

Im 34 'full' no claims, no driving convictions (recently!) R32 GTR $25000 insured value fully comp Just cars $1114. I rang Western QBE and they had'nt heard of a GTR....they did know Ti, GXE & GX! Might try HBF as i'd prefer to keep payments fornightly rather than the one lump sum Just Cars requires

One more quick Q! What is the Biggest Injectors anyone has run using the standard ECU? Or is anything other than the standard injectors out of the question. Cheers
