  1. Finally got a few more Pickies thru. http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtr1.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtr2.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtr3.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtr4.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtreng1.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtreng2.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtrfront.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtrint.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtrunder.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtrrear.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/mygtrwheel.JPG Apart from the wheels it all looks pretty well standard, any R32 GTR trainspotters notice any thing of interest? (underbonnet mainly)
  2. Well I still have'nt received any more detailed shots of my car other than the auction pictures but did get my auction sheet translated by a Japanese exchange student living at a freinds house.....and guess what..."Dirty Inside" was one of the comments Looks like i'm off to buy a bottle of Preen
  3. Good news Haze You may be able to fix the vent with some 'Model Aircraft glue', as it appears the vent fin is still there. I did this with a similar problem on one of my cars...Held fine
  4. Its a DEC 89 Model As for the K's at 66'800, i'd say there probably genuine, but 66'800kms around Tokyo, would be equivilent to 200'000kms in Perth
  5. I have yet to recieve any pictures of my GTR other than the auction ones yet!. But judging by almost all the other GTRs I have seen for import the Front seats are filthy. Has anyone had success in cleaning them, and If so how?
  6. As far as R32 GTR colours are concerned my preference was always: Silver: easy to keep clean, and shows all the GTRs bulges well Grey: As this is how I remember the GTR in Magazines when they were realeased Black: To Hard to keep clean...hide all the GTRs Bulges (Bought one!) White: To many white cars in OZ
  7. I rang DOTARS today to make sure they received my 'Application to import' forms by fax....as it took almost 1 hour in the post office and many failed attempts to go thru. I asked the lady on the phone did the changes get gazetted last night, she kinda laughed and said "nooo", I asked when she thought they would and she replied " not for a little while yet I imagine"...? She may just have been the secetary and had as much Idea to import laws as the cleaners..but it sure sounded promising for any potential last minute importers
  8. Nah you should buy my R31 for 14 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=67397 No way Maybe...just Possibly Never
  9. R32 GTR------- Black R31 GTS2 ---- Red (not in poll)
  10. This is my R32 GTR with R34 rims. How much are the rims worth to buy individually anyway...?
  11. Thx for the nice comments guys...but I think if I put those rims on a Kia Rio i'd get a similar response Heres a run down of the prices for you FOB Price in Yen ¥ 1'035'000 FOB Price in $AU FOB ÷ 82.1 $12606 Freight +$1450 $14056 Duty +10% $15462 Customs clearance + $450 $15912 GST + 10% $17503 Import Approval +$50 $17553 Landed Cost: $17553 According to the auction sheet it has 66800kms
  12. I reckon there'd be about 10 -15 R32 GTRs around Perth at least....not that thats a bad thing As for mods to this one..I'm not to sure at this stage, I'm told it has a 10CD Kenwood stacker (Or did have when it was auctioned ) an Aftermarket exhaust, Pod filters and the wheels obviously, on the auction sheet it has what appears to be HKS 275 written down (cams?) Other than that I have a pair of Sparcos to put in and a Momo S/Wheel. Not sure on the number plate thing I saw your pic in the other thread.!..?
  13. Yes hardly a rarity on Perth streets these days, but I bought an R32 GTR myself today Few pics below, will be a better base to work from than my current Skyline in Club sprint / track days, motorKhanas hillclimbs etc which I want to get more involved in. Oh and heres a Shameless free plug for the sale of my R31 GTS2 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=67397
  14. In that vein, heres the car I have a bid on ATM.....really hoping I get it as its pretty much exactly what I want..... If not i'm screwed Geoff from Prestige is on Holidays for the next 7 days! The buyer in Japan also had to go home early and has left my Bid electronically.... Heres Hoping!
  15. I am hoping I can pick a car up tonight / tomorow morning thru a Jap auction house...as I do not fancy the idea of buying something off Yahoo. If it blows up it blows up...thats the risk I took buying a car from a Jap auction...Like the '6 million dollar man' (Younger people might not remember that show!)....I will rebuild it faster and stronger
  16. Although hard to notice it was wheelspinning in 2nd up to around 90kmh then speedo needle drops back to around 80 as it hooks up & accelerates back up to 100, then change into 3rd The VL makeover was introduced in 1986, the R32 1989, the VL was only a facelift on a design that dates back to 1976, which in its day was quite advanced, VL certainly nothing to be ashamed off, Nissan to has certainly produced there fair share of 'Clangers'
  17. Well I have just laid my $1100 down and am about to start the whole process of Importing an R32 GTR Waiting dos'nt bother me to much as the car wont be a daily driver, I also understand the risks of buying a car at auction...this is why it is so much cheaper to do than buying the same thing locally. Basically I am just on the BNR32 mailing list atm I recieve emails from Japanese Yahoo online auctions and from Local various jap auctions.... 1. Is this all I have to choose from? will anyone ring me personally telling me of something coming up? as no one has ever asked me specifically what I want in a GTR (ie stock body, mod motor OK, in gray or Silver etc) 2. How many of you guys bought a vehicle from current stock.....Japanese Auction...or Yahoo Japan online auctions? 3. Hopefully I will see something come up early next week....if I do, do I then get to speak to someone direct as to vehicle condition etc etc...? cheers
  18. This is what my RB30 produced (Dyno est @ motor) a while ago. Or 340rwHP and 2650lb torque @ wheels
  19. Some awesome posts there guys just what I was looking for Thx I know I should use the money I get from the sale of my R31 on something sensible like the morgage but I can see 90% will get pumped into the 32!
  20. Yep.. ET: 15.477 KPH: 143.53 60FT: 2.320
  21. Replace the pump or fit engine oil cooler..?
  22. I used to own a 185i Senator auto..ran constant 15.4's at 140kmh...slow but sounded good doing it
  23. 1. Excellent 2. Great 3. Hmm...pretty average..will have to work on that! 4. Not to bad...would High flowed standard turbos do the trick? 5. Ah..ha...well I guess its better than a Gearbox Thx mate
  24. Thats the beauty of the RB30, in that video using all the gears (Ableit with slow shifts due to *whispers* holding camera in one hand) it takes 9 secs from 100 to 200kmh....I have another video of it, leaving it in 5th, going from 100 - 200kmh and it still does it in 10 flat!
