Do I have this right? Because next year is 2008 does this mean the 1993 skylines will not have to pay for compliance (or not pay as much)? Does this mean that this year model skyline will become a lot cheaper? (Saving compliance $3-4000?) Does this mean that the ass end will fall out of the used skyline market for those that are already here? Have I missed previous posts about this? Am I remotely close with any of my questions?

that was just to get rezz's attention just got speed magazine and on the fron tcover they have the phrase "twin-turbo v8 GTR?" (although they go on to say its just a V35 that top secret did up and called it a GTR) before this the magazine then goes on to talk about keyboard warriors being faceless criminals it just feels like they trying to rub your nose in this.

okay i remember reading that post where the speed guy said that the next issue of speed would explain why the next skyline would be a V8 so i kept an eye out for this and on page 14 it talks about top secret building their own V8 V35 GTR just because a workshop builds a V8 GTR does not mean that it is "the next" skyline surely this cant be what they were talking about? and if so i think they need to apologise to REZZ sorry if this has been talked about but i havent been here in a while :headspin:

with a manual gear knob you can buy an aftermarket one and just screw it on provided it has the same thread i was jus wondering with automatic cars can you buy an aftermarket one and replace the standard shifter? is it do-able or not?

how can you tell if a car has ABS without driving it?

do any of these importers assure you that your car is running and in working order. For example what happens if you get your car off the ship and it doesnt even drive? has anyone heard of this happening before?

there was a section writen up in the DRIVE newspaper section about odo tampering and apparently there is a mob in New Zealand that can check digital speedo cars and tell if it is accurate because there is about 5 places in a cars electrical system that stores the odo information apart from the odo at the end of the article they were saying that they were in the process of coming into the australian market for grey imports.

yeh talking bout an R33 gtst the exterior and interior pics of the car showed it to be a 94 with dual airbags

i am just doing some research about sedans and have been told that in standard form the: - 93 to 94 models had no airbags - 95 model had driver airbags - 96 to 97 model had driver and passenger airbags (i dont know if the coupes are the same) but the other day i found a 94 model with twin airbags and was wondering what the go is with this? also if anyone can help can you change the rear tail lights of the sedan to match the coupes lights as i think they look ugly standard any websites for info on this or bodykits would be good thanks

my friend just doing some teaching in the northern territory just got booked for doing 38km over the limit as he went from no speed limit to an 80 zone - prolly to fast to see the sign and the speed wasnt marked on the ground anyways he got a fine of $160 and lost no points what would be the norm if he got done in NSW?

i am definately going to buy a R33 4 door skyline at the end of this year at the very latest and with this thread being on the topic of 4 doors i was wondering - a)if anyone knows of any Australian websites of R33 4 door skylines that have been modified as i cant seem to find any b)also if there are any good sites regarding information on bodykits and stuff for them c)if anyone can point me to any relevant threads about modifying or general info about 4 door skylines on this forum (i have tried to search several times but cant find much stuff ) d)would we be able to start up a 4 door section on the forums any help very much appreciated thanks

anyone see in todays drive secxtion of the sydney morning herald about the guy driving a skyline and got carjacked? a wrx bumped him from behind and then when he got out to look at the damage four guys with balaclavas baseball bats and an axe and they told him to give them the keys he ran away and then the driver hit him in the rex he is now selling his 'line they reckon that car jackings are increasing because the theives cant get around the security systems so they have to forcefully steal them does this happen much in sydney ? p.s. anyone in sydney look out for bumping rexes
