  1. SHUTO- BOY, no fuel control, yeah? On mine it doesn't show any signs of letting up at 7000rpm. I've heard from ppl with stock turbs and ecu that 8000rpm is actually fairly healthy for rb25det. Can't wait to try

  5. SHUTO- BOY, $2k for an engine conversion is freaking cheap. Is labour, like, free over there? Must be a damn sight better than the ~$60/hr they charge here.
  6. Psiker, I'd imagine an evo 4G63 and mivec 4G93 are both pretty expensive. Half cut is the best way to go, get all the bits and pieces and nab the front brakes. He's just gotta ask himself how deep his pockets are and how much he expects to get back at the end of the day.
  7. SHUTO- BOY, you mentioned mitsu colt with 4g63 and 4wd conversion. Thats a pretty major mod, isn't it? Like evo'ing a mirage pretty much. Or did they come 4wd in Japan?
  8. Psiker, yeah I like to watch G0DF4Th3R, I was born in Ipoh. Been here most of my life though (since yr1). Last time I was there was.. oh, 3 yrs ago. The weather sucks big time!
  9. I don't know about moving back to Malaysia. - eveyone drives like nut jobs - drink driving seems social accepted - price of cars is crazy (~AUD$50k for a camry) - road tax (if you're paying it) is an absolute killer! - the weather would suck for our turbos

  11. Listen to the guy, insure, insure, insure. I had a Pioneer deck+changer, 4 x Alpine 12" ZR's, 2x 1F caps, Alpine 1505, Alpine 305 and MB quart tweets lifted. If I ever find the ****ers who did it, I swear I'm buying a fcuking pallet of quicklime to deal with the problem.

  13. Dude, don't believe me. Believe the vacum hoses that came off my car. Name dropping hey. Well then, that backs up everything you've said. Two can play at that. I just got off the phone with HKS Japan, want to know what they said? They said you should stop waving your dick about in forums. The 25t has no boost restrictor, you probably misunderstood what ever it was tilbrooks was trying to tell you. Adding a restrictor (in the right place) will increase boost however.
  14. Unless Nissan started putting RB26's in the series II (and did a damn good job of disguising them), you ain't got no restrictor. I don't know what the hell you've been pulling out of your engine bay to make it "go like a shower of shit", but it sure as hell wasn't a restrictor. Wait! Maybe you turned your back on the car one day and someone dumped a RB26 in there for you. That would explain it!
  15. JET-33, its not the ET as much as terminal speed that we're interested in. With 60', terminal and wieght, its fairly easy to see if the driver got a good launch and how much power the engine's *really* making.
  16. 570CK, I've read what he has to say and its useless info. As a FYI, I went out to my garage and fondled the hose's going to the solenoid that I'd previously removed. No restrictor. Its a well known GTR tip, not one for the 25t. Can a mod please, please ban SIKR33. Every post I've read from him has been useless. Every sugestion to him to not use caps has been ignored.
  17. TUFR33, rear wheel power isn't too relevant, better to talk about it in terms of power at the engine. Best guestimate for the stock turbo is in the region of 300-320bhp.
  18. The R33 does have one special requirement - ventilation. Either need to buy a fully sealed gel type battery (big $$$) or use a factory style battery which vents from a single fitting that you connect the external vent hose to. Careful not to get a battery without that vent fitting, or you could find the boot filling up with gasses and going *boom* one day.
  19. Yeh, eccs with loom & ecu and without gearbox. Lumpy said the rwd ca18 can be converted easily, right? Same engine mount points and the fwd gearbox can bolt up?
