Fair enough... or at least until you go on to say:
The freeway, at the right time of day, is a safe place to speed. We're talking about a multilaned highway built to autobahn like standards - emergency lane, saftey barriers, wire rope, large median, ample lighting and drainage. Road capable of close to twice the speed limit and you call it a stupid place to speed? The back of whoop whoop has unsafe roads and that makes it stupid to speed on.
Two accidents before you learnt. Wow. Allow me to make a misinformed and malaligned comment on your driving habits based on incomplete infomation.
I know your not serious (point by exaggeration, always a good debate technique ), but I'll take the bait. For the record, I fully support and follow 50km/h limits in built up areas. But as a point of debate, would you be interested to learn that pedestrian death tolls in built areas have remained the same or, in some cases, increased after introducition of 50km/h limits? Turns out that morons which jaywalk will jaywalk no matter what, and whether you're doing 50 or 60, the jaywalker gets brained all the same.
Lets not turning this into another speeding vs the law thread. Get enough of that on aus.cars as it is.
