  1. fmic gets hit by all type of crap. Don't want a bigger than average pebble (or bird) to ruin my day.
  2. Boosty, I don't have any parts or tools we need, so not much point. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday. GTS-t VSPEC, sounds like a challenge I'm planning on pulling off my starter motor this week, any tips? And anyone know where to get mesh from? (Not the ricey ones, but the hsv/gtr style ones with wide spacing).
  3. adam32, but I want to be able to clean my windscreen *and* catch oil 20km run? Thats insane. I never run and if I have to walk more than a kay, I'm reaching for the bus timetable. (All rules go out the window after a six pack or 2).
  4. Best thing about the coke bottle is it can be jammed into the tightest, darkest spot in the engine bay. Instant stealth mod I've had several coppers look in my engine bay and not one yellow sticker yet. The Mines guys only *wish* they had a coke bottle. Think of the weight saving Actually, I've seen more than one fresh import with small juice containers as catch cans, so maybe the coke bottle isn't the right one for the job. Theres more research to be done in this area, I'm off to buy a Mountain Dew to test with I've seen a decent metal can for $100 with filter, I'll post a link later. Anyone know how much Cypher want for one?
  5. GTS-t VSPEC, oil filter. Nissan jammed it under the intake manifold (firewall side) on a east-west engine. Bastards!
  6. GTS-t VSPEC, wasteland maybe, but whoretown is like static irc - damn near useless! And look, now we've got people (CC) asking *useful* questions in whoretown. Would have a much better response in WA proper. IMHO
  7. Boosty, try and get a hold of zep and his ramps, otherwise we're going to need a jack and bricks to get that damn filter off. I haven't got the pipes and stuff yet. Have to catch the bus to uni in an hour
  8. If you look at pranks opening statement on the main page: "Whether you've got a question about Skylines in general, how to fix something on your Nissan Skyline, or you're just up for a bit of general chat, the forums are the place to be." General chat is OK (in the right forums). No better place to introduce yourself when you're a n00b than in your state's forums, I think.
  9. I dunno GTS-t VSPEC, it was a little harsh What gets my goat is n00b-ricers, this guy was just your garden variety n00b who was excited about driving a Skyline. No real harm in posting. Besides, the question he asked couldn't have been answered by a search, so its a fair thread in my book
  10. Boostzor brought around his bunky today. Not in bad condition. A few bumps and bruises, but what do you expect for 2.5k? Oh yeah, looks like he'll be needing that ca18det you have lying around, macka
  11. Looks a little better than the trx with those flared wheel arches and different tail lights. Too bad it'll turn into torque steer city with a sr20det.
  12. Found it ya'll: http://www.geocities.co.jp/MotorCity/2332/t12-1.html
  13. xtt looks like a cross between a pintara/cosair and a golf. Actually, not even close. Its white though. Every single part of it in gleaming white. Hope that helps
  14. lol, but half of it is for entertainment The other half is part of national tolerance week. You know how fast this place is going to go downhill if we let ricers, illiterates and n00bs take over? I'm doing my bit
  15. Yeah. Looking around job sites for work.
  16. Boostzor keeps pestering to drive on the cruise this weekend. But the 'line told me in private that he hates when Boostzor drives him. I don't blame him, Boostzor fights with the clutch like a grandma vs a slot machine. Its painful to watch.
  17. skyzerr33, like my sig says - 2 weeks, 5 days. I'll move to hours when its under a week. Damn thats sad.
  18. skyzerr33, revs car is a freak. Local conspiracy theory has it that he's sure to find a chipped/modded board hidden inside that stock ecu case.
  19. Micko, yeah reprogramming pretty expensive. Just have to time your mods well I guess. Second choice would be a pfc. Wolf would be somewhere around using a carby (relax paul, just jk)
  20. Still, a fair step up from rev's mighty 205's
  21. If I had a 32 I'd be epromming. Cheaper than outright management (and the hours of labour needed to tune maps), gives factory idle and is more than enough flexibilty for a street car. IMHO. So your gonna cheat on Nittos, eh?
  22. Kill stories? What are we, clubsi?
  23. Fair enough... or at least until you go on to say: The freeway, at the right time of day, is a safe place to speed. We're talking about a multilaned highway built to autobahn like standards - emergency lane, saftey barriers, wire rope, large median, ample lighting and drainage. Road capable of close to twice the speed limit and you call it a stupid place to speed? The back of whoop whoop has unsafe roads and that makes it stupid to speed on. Two accidents before you learnt. Wow. Allow me to make a misinformed and malaligned comment on your driving habits based on incomplete infomation. I know your not serious (point by exaggeration, always a good debate technique ), but I'll take the bait. For the record, I fully support and follow 50km/h limits in built up areas. But as a point of debate, would you be interested to learn that pedestrian death tolls in built areas have remained the same or, in some cases, increased after introducition of 50km/h limits? Turns out that morons which jaywalk will jaywalk no matter what, and whether you're doing 50 or 60, the jaywalker gets brained all the same. Lets not turning this into another speeding vs the law thread. Get enough of that on aus.cars as it is.
  24. Because speeding kills, right? Chalk another one up for GovernmentCo, they've convinced another pleb of the facts with their propaganda styles.
  25. Nothing 2 or 3 90mL expresso's won't fix
