  1. My 33 GTR has +12 offset, looks perfect. Love them. 9.5" minor scrubbing full lock with 265's. Stock VSPEC ride height.
  2. Most decent tuners can remap, but they'll probably tell you to just wait for the FC Assuming dyno tune, 200-500$.
  3. It can be remapped, but I believe it's a good idea to wait until you get the power FC anyway. That way you only need 1 retune. I mean, unless you're really nervous about one of your ceramic turbos... just wait IMO. Occasionally they get sold on here for 600-$1,000 sometimes with a commander etc. Keep an eye out.
  4. Mine is just sitting in there, wobbles around if you move it I guess... with the cover over it it's quite secure though...
  5. Turbo Shuffle... never heard of the 5's doing it TBH. Engine light with FC is the knock levels yeah? A good tuner should be able to minimize shuffle etc...
  6. Pod filter. Power FC. Which mods you got? Exhaust with nothing in it besides a muffler... Wind up boost to 20psi, even on stock internals. Pushing its limits though. The -7s should see you through to 320-340 depending how hard you push them. Reading over some threads some people have managed 330 quite well with the -7s.
  7. Gasket itself aint too bad, but it's a bit of stuffing around to change it that's where the $$$ will go. ~$1,000 surely not much more. should be less really. Find someone who knows their skylines...
  8. The VSPEC came out of the factory slightly lower than the standard R33 GTR. Your exhaust will probably still sit at 65mm though
  9. Yeah my tuner commented that the engine seemed very healthy (creatd). But anyway. Was 246rwkw to be exact... also have pods on there. I say check the fuel pump also. Don't the pumps max out at 260-280 anyway?
  10. Seems a little low.. Stock turbos, injectors, no gears, just exhaust/dumps & power FC made me 250kw at 12 psi.
  11. Very nice indeed... why only 16psi though? This rebuild would take a hammering with ease... and lol @ 20k. Is he the same nub who offered Leewah 30k?
  12. I am about 2 hours north of Melb, but I am coming to melb in a couple of weeks to drop my car in for some work... I'll take some photos tonight and PM you.
  13. heh, I ordered my TE's just before the price hike.. I've got 4x BBS lm (sp?) rims, the ones with the gold in the middle, polished on the outside... Pretty sure 18x10 no idea about the offset. Got 275 tyres too with ~60-70% tread. EDIT: identical to these: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/18...html&hl=bbs
  14. Poor quality photo... oh well.

    Full License

Hey guys, Just got my license renewed to get off my P's. I have another 10 days before my P's expire, however the guy never gave me back my actual P plate license... was he meant to? He said make sure you put up your P's til then etc, but I didn't even notice he didn't return it until I walked out of there... Should he have given them back? Does it matter if I am pulled over in the mean time? (assuming my Ps are shown)
  16. The 2860-7's are more responsive than the 2860-5's yeah? Aren't the 7's a smaller turbo? I'd like to see a bar of boost by mid three's... Who know's if I'll get it lol.
  17. Hmm, I still can't decide on what turbo's. I want the most responsive possible, prefer more torque <4k where possible. Hmmm. Nice results BTW.
  18. Ah ok, thanks. I am considering 12mm, but I am still not sure... if someone has similar wheels at +12mm offset with no fitting issues (stock suspension) then I guess I'll be a little re assured.
  19. Hey guys, did a search but found nothing concrete. Looking at a set of 18" TE37's and also another set from a member on this forum. What's the perfect size for an R33 GTR? Currently stock suspension setup etc. Would 18x9.5" +19mm sit/look well? Or should I go for something else? I can always go 10.5" etc. Prefer tyes 265/35 - 275/35. Or 18x10" +19mm? Any suggestions appreciated. Regards.
  20. For those wondering, I have fixed the issue. Something fell out of the jack and managed to work its way down to the bottom of the rear quarter panel. It was sitting next to the overflow hose, and rattled quite bad when I touched the hose itself. So, stripped part of the boot again, removed the object... Solved! Thanks for making me look down near the exhaust
  21. Hey guys. The past day or two I've began to notice a rattle or something vibrating in the back of the car. It sounds like it is in the cabin, though it could also be from the boot area of the car. It's on the passenger side, at the back of the car. I thought it could have been the plastic that runs along the column there, but after securing that the rattle persists. I've also checked around the speakers, the battery area, I even stripped the boot looking for anything lose. I also tightened the screws on the seal around the bottom of the back window. The noise is more of a vibration. Definitely sounds like something is loose. It's most noticable when boost comes on and when the exhaust is deepest in 4th gear (on boost). I've checked along the exhaust all seems tight. Though when driving it sounds more in the cabin. Any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Rays Wheels?

I've seen this asked before, but there's always such vague answers... Though it hasn't been asked in a while. Is there anyone at all in Melbourne who stock rays/volks wheels? Looking at some for a GTR... Or am I stuck with importing only? Cheers guys.
  24. If the car is going to be priced at over 140K, when it's selling in Japan for UNDER 100k, I just wouldn't be able to justify buying it locally. I dare say most other people would be in the same boat. Nissan are going to end up with people importing the cars rather than buying them locally (assuming they'll one day be registrable). OK, yes we have taxes etc. that still doesn't justify a 75% markup as some have hinted. Supply & demand, sure. This car is for enthusiasts, they should be aiming to sell to the enthusiast. IMO that's just not happening here in Aus.
