  1. it takes 5 weeks from the day you send for the approval application to received, sometime a bit longer, but no more than 6 weeks. if longer then that is somthing went wrong. k-line has ship leave yoko, osaka, and nago every foright on friday morning. 2-3 weeks to NSW the melb, the SA after that WA, by the time it arrives in WA it takes 4 weeks in total. a good custom agent can get your car out of custom and ready to pick up within 2 days. even it needs a clean! but you must provide all the paperwork and cash ready!
  2. hopefully this guy doesnt paid a deposite and anything.. i had similar problem, but instead someone offer me to buy my car, and send me a US dollar bank cheque. i been told by my bank that i need a 30 day waiting period to clean the cheque. during that period, the sender asked me to deposited the shipping charge by western union money transfer. and i even receved a letter from"shipping company" to comfirm the amunt and date. but i was not going to do anything untill the money is in my account. and gues what. the sender withdraw the money after he send the cheque out! i end up with 35 dollar bank charge for dishonest !!! just like someone else said, paid a trip if you really want this car. ps, send him a letter and tell him that you will go there and check the car out and wait to see what is his reply
  3. wondering how much will they charge for the compliance plate now?
  4. if you been live there for over 1 year and never bring any car during the period, then that is good enought for you to bring one car in, but a lot of paper works. another car? if it's R33, soarer or something that is commonly imported, you might get some one to do the compliance work for you, otherwirse just leave it, or it will cost you a fortune
  5. depending on the port and date you want to load the car..they offer similar services, but kiwi provide a report before car loaded and after loading...its good when your car got some good staff in it..
  6. just wondering for those people who get R33 compliance, what did you pay for? i know it;s around $4K plus GST, anyone find it cheaper? it funny that people charge different price for a same model car... i got quote for jza80 from downunder for 4.5k and my friend got it for 3.5k, may be r33 can be get it cheaper? they got 100 plates per year....
  7. R34 4 door and 2 door has different style tail lights
  8. it also depend on the amount that you put on the car's value, stamp duty works on the base of the car's purchas price..... its better to bring the T/T invoice to show the amount that you paid for the "car" rather than add all the shipping cost and GST and duty. but other costs are fixed.
  9. down under auto has moved to malaga or wangala..not so sure, but if yo go to the website, they have address on it. the red 35 was driven half years ago on alb hwy, i saw it all the time with dealer number plate on, he should be enjoy that thing very well... there is one from PMS with 8 speed auto calle GT-8 and it cost under 30k to land with compaliance and ready to rego... a blue one was for sale at 25,990... they are not that expensive, unless the V35 skyline 2 door. and it looks better than 350Z and perform better...
