I have just bought a water/meth kit and looking to install same in near future. Just need to find supplier for methanol probably looking to buy in 20 or 50l at a time. Also where is cheapest place to get distilled water from? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Getting car painted on leave in april and spoiler will post pics then now car just red. Reading on supra forums can get that power with standard injectors and pump but for safety sake will likely get injectors and fuel pump anyway so to run around 20 psi with out leaning out. Will do this as soon as I sell FTO which is almost ready to sell. Then will post pics of both cars next to each other and dyno graphs. Will everyone be happ then?

Things have changed so am keeping r33 GTR, check other posts to see mods etc.(310 AWKW) Not going to get Gt35r On supra am getting Turbos high flowed with steel wheels good for around 19-20 psi day to day. Should produce just over 300 RWKW with all supporting mods but standard pump and injectors. Only going to tune Supra with SAFC and EBC as car auto. Getting Supra re-sprayed blue with GT spoiler and re-do the white mags on same already lowered and full Veilside body kit. Not a bad second car or maybe first.

Sorry can't say much. It was at same dyno and engine build all arranged through UPI in moorabbin. I know they sent it off to get done and because of christmas break only get the car next week. Sorry don't know much technical terms yet am learning form reading in here though. Thanks for all replies. Car only had 34K on clock and maybe they are genuine as no difference in power after re-build. If so obviosly very happy with car. Get R33 GTR with probaly now 40K in newish mods, very low K's for little more than mods would have cost. Also only charged fo rparts in re-build as upgraded parts involved, just wish had the money at time to do cams and rods. Maybe a future thing and get T04Z or similiar in a few years time. I read on here that 400+rwkw is the new 300.

I had my R33 Gtr Dyno tuned at 310 AWKW recently and found out had detonated piston so had rebuild with Forged pistons, head work, metal head gasket, N1 oil pump, N1 bearings, new belts, new crank and blue printing. Had car re tuned and found only 2KW increase in power. Is this normal? I would have thought it would have increased around 20 kw but still happy with overall power just thought this was interesting. I guess that power just safer with stronger engine now.

Dezz: Only EPA vehicles that can't get for offence like they are dragging but can't get their speed etc. Definetly won't be issuing EPA to members of SAU or import driver's in general any more unless they bring it on themselves with their attitude or their driving. In general I wouldn't imagine members here being stupid enough to jack up police whilst driving their imports or driving like a fool anyway.

I would like to add that if the passenger is over 18 then the driver is not responsible for their behaviour. In this case it would be a penalty notice to the passenger taking the photohgraph. But also with any common sense a driver wouldn't let a passenger hang out the window. Police can't act on photographs of hoons given unless you start making phones/cameras with built in radar's for speed taking into account your car would also be moving this wouldn't work. Also the Laws are such that unless it's a collision involved police can't act on traffic offences unless witnessed by them. They are also Summary offences which means that you can only be charged with offence within 12 months of offence date. I would also agree that any media coverage like this is detrimental to our community. From personal experience every Skyline I have dealt with for offences has been P plater R33 GTST. This would only be about 1% of penalty notices I have issued though but again every EPA form I have issued has been on them too. Not to have a go at GTST driver's though or members of SAU.

I know, well I guess I have the best job to have my car as a daily driver. IMO the EPA laws are far too restrictive anyway. I guess I won't be EPA vehicles anymore. Unless they have a bad attitude.

I've heard about him. It wouldn't make a difference what I do. There are a couple of others there that also book cops. very strange. That should be a warning to everyone stay away from knox if your in a import if he sees you say hello EPA/NOU. But saying that, I can't imagine anyone else EPA me. Maybe I'll back them up one day and then they would remember that so hopefully they wouldn't EPA/defect me either. Also if I go TMU would help as look after their own and TMU are the ones that give out the EPA/NOU predominently. Yes I have being EPA before I joined though in my old TTSoarer as it was extremely load exhaust. 98DB I think. Just changed the system lucky I was already planning on doing it. Just learnt recently but you may be aware but EBC/ADJ BC are EPA issue.

For Taso84 we have specific area's that investigate drug dealers and area's that investigate armed robberies. I'm sure that since your such a good citizen you would love to pass on all your info on drug dealers to our specific area's to investigate. We have CIU that look into all crimes and our normal patrol cars primarily do crime investigation over car/traffic stuff. We have TMU for a reason to deal with traffic matters that is their role, obviously if they catch people committing crimes then they act but that is not their role. I wish it was as easy as you said about catching criminals. I would be more then happy if I could search everyone in a night club not drinking for drugs, or any other time without a specific reason. I just don't think the public would like that. It's a bit like pulling over every import car we see just because some have epa issues for no reason. Would you like that. Have you seen the Road death stats lately. I guess that guy that killed the 6 youths in Mildura isn't a "real" criminal then because it's traffic offences. Yes to above question. More than happy to help, especially as am going to go to TMU sometime this year so will do all courses for us relating to traffic. Hopefully somewhat of expert then for traffic. My advice don't drive stupid, don't have extremely loud exhaust/BOV. If pulled over be polite. Then 99% chance no NOU/EPA even if car modded.

To Atreyu, I would expect that if I can slow even one or two people down by warning them then my superiors would be happy. Our goal is not to pick on drivers for no reason and it's no new thing with drags in that area friday night and police attendance. We just want safety on the streets not so much fines etc. I worked there in an unmarked ss last week and there were people standing aroud and up to 100 cars doing laps to Dandednong area and back. Started raining which slowed everyone down. Just trying to advise SAU members and show not all police are bad.

Just to give you all future warning as a vic pol member that big crack downs on vehicles caught driving/dragging along Princess Highway Oakleigh-Dandenong at present. Hopefully no one from these forums is involved but even modded up cars in area being EPA/NOU just for being there as ongoing problems. Mainly with P plater Holden driver's I must say but still the occasional skyline/sylvia aroud and does get more police scrutiny. Hope this helps. With so many unsafe places to park is it advisable to have a cheap second car to go to shops etc. I am lucky I have secure parking at work and have double remote garage at home so car safe most of time. Was just thinking about this.

Just wondering what 310 awkw on a 1995 gtr would be in rwkw only. I was thinking about 20kw more or so. Just wondering. Thanks for any replies.

I would also sugggest buying a cheap car for a couple of years get a manual and become a good driver. Then in a couple of years once you have the experience you need get yourself an R32GTR and you won't regret it. If I had been driving a huge hp car 18-20 like most would be lucky to still be here. Not saying at that age can't be responsible but driving well 99% of the time is not enough. I sped more in my parents applause 18-19 that I ever have in my GTR/TT supra since.

I have bought a 95 R33GTR is has come with 19x10 mags. How will this affect the handling and ride. I would expect it to handle better but probably be a rougher ride is that correct. The car also is lowered and has very firm sports suspension.

Well as a member of vicpol I find this sight interesting. We do have the right to pull any car over at anytime for a random check. This seems to be a lot of people complaining about their treatment. What you should know is our discresionary power helps you, that means there is a good chance that you will be let off with a warning when you could be fined. I bet nobody has any complaints about that. My advice is be polite and friendly. If you did commit an offence and are asked be HONEST if you lie you will definitely be fined and probably defected. That's not the police fault your the one that lied. Yes Jap import drivers are picked on but 90% of them can be put off the road for some defect or EPA issue that's a good strike rate in anyone's language. Generally if you haven't being driving like a @#$%head and are polite 99% of police will be polite. Most police except Traffic cops mainly give warnings.

As a member of Victoria police it is my knowledge that you can have them under your car and turned on as long as they don't flash. You can't have differnt coloured lights in brakes, parkers or any other safety lighting. You can't have red lights facing forward. That's just my knowledge in Victoria but these things change about every 6 months. It annoying to drivers and police alike. I would not recommend them though as it just calls out to be pulled over and put off the road for something else though.

If you do go Chameleon kiss goodbye any insurance on the car as no one will touch you. Unless that doesn't matter.

I am currently getting engine rebuild and have only paid for parts and it has cost 2K for forged pistons and 2500 for upgraded oil pump, blue print, water pump, N1 bearings, timing belt, metal head gasket and new crank. I am looking at trying to get about 330 awkw and was informed that all pretty much a must. Only things left would be oil sump, oil cooler and upgraded cams. Passed up on them as not necessary for daily driving. Good luck with it all and as I was told do it once do it right otherwise it will cost you more time and more money in the long run.

Thanks guys for responses. I have an upgraded intercooler sorry don't know what type exactly. Have pod filters with cold air intake. Hopefully this covers any cooling problems. Only have standard oil cooler and oil sump as car for everyday driving not racing. Probably sounds stupid when having a gtr with upgraded brakes, suspenion, 19x10 mags (all came with car) and rebuilt engine looking at 330kw plus @aw. Would change oil cooler if I decide to race car. I don't know about oil sump. Do I need to upgrade for daily driving and what cost am I looking at? Thanks again. I'm an idiot posting twice. Merry Christmas everyone.
