No replies, anyone have any idea at all? A stab in the dark theory? Heard of anything like this in previous posts? Any help would be very VERY much appreciated!

Hi All, Been having this slight problem for a little while now and the garages out my way don't seem to have a clue! (No Skyline Specialists in Scotland! <_< ). The problem is that when i put my foot down at low revs (say 1500 RPM) the car will start to pull but then hesitates at around 2-3k RPM (i can only describe it as if the fuel is cut off for a split second) but then it seems to pull through/past this "flat spot" and will rev smoothly till about 5k-5.5k RPM. Then the engine will slightly hesitate again but it isn't as harsh as before - its more like a stuttering as if the engine is being "strangled" i.e. not being fed a constant, continuous or even amount, of either air or fuel. This is really annoying as when i purchased the car (begining of the year) it was great and had a decent amount of power I really hope there is someone out there who has had this problem before and can help me locate the problem.
