  1. As the subject suggests i have a Garret TO4E turbo with a .60 comp and big turbine thats collecting dust since i bought my new GT3540. Turbo just come back from a Garrett dealer with a thumbs up and the whole things has been cleaned and bead blasted (looks like new). Good for between 400-500hp depndant upon boost. The 57 trim TO4E wheel has a wide efficiency island so you can run it hard or easy and still get good figures from it. The wastegate is a HKS 35MM. Perfect for this turbo application. $1500 for the lot? email me if your intrested: [email protected] Heres a few pics:
  2. 3037s are Ball bearing bro! When you put that on you might want to conisder a really good heat shield on that exhaust housing. plastic bonnets + highmount turbos = meltage
  3. To be honest with you, i have seen a fluidyne and a HKS item in the flesh. And the fluidyne looks of a much higher build quality than the HKS item. cant comment about the B&M.. cheers, Trev
  4. HAHAHAHA yeh iam at that stage as well. Do you have something abit bigger? I dont mind so much about the collector, i am running a low mount setup on mine anyways. anymore pics would be appreciated. Thanks for that rob. Trev,
  5. Hi guys, I am currently building some extractors for my motor, and need some idears on how i will run mine. Have you guys got any pics? can be on motor, off a website? anything! can be low mount/highmount. I just need some idears. Thanks guys, Trev.
  6. I am going to be honest with you luke, I have driven a R33 with a twin plate setup, and a R33 with a strong single. (with the same power output as yourself). Personaly i would take the single in this situation for 3 reasons: 1. Cheaper. (for a really good single your looking at around the $700 mark) 2. Doesnt rattle around like a 1986 VL taxi. 3. It will suit your power application perfectly. if you would like the best of both worlds: (play & grip) i would recommend getting a cushioned ceramic button clutch: http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/mall/ck06.asp take a look, they deliver anywhere. Cheers, Trev.
  7. Joel, I reckon i am neck to neck with you on your RB30/25 build! i am dropping my heads off next wednesday (payday) at a place in melbourne to get built. I have a couple of questions for you: 1. Are you replacing the factory RB25 valve springs with harder items? 2. how much are you spending on a complete end to end process? (for me including springs etc, i am puttting aside 1K?. should be getting some change) 3. what components of your head are you getting built? (re-seated?, new guides?, etc) thanks Joel/sydneykid, Trev,
  8. Its a electronic unit, theres a little black box above/ next to the plenum/intake manifold on the drivers side. You will notice a vacume line running into it from the plenum. Iam allmost 100% this is the unit that it reads from. Cheers, Trev
  9. dont stress dude, youl get 300 for it easy!!! iam just a tight ass!
  10. na its allright.... thanks anyways!
  11. will you take $200 for exhaust manifold?
  12. cheers guys. ***n good idear! should of thought about that before.

    Arias Pistons

Hey guys, What is the cheapest people have seen these pistons go for? (RB30 turubo -40 over) i heard roughly trad price is arund $1400 with rings. can anyone get them cheaper? Cheers, trev,
  14. or is that a stocker? issan one?
  15. Who makes that manifold!!!?? i want it!!!
  16. boys, thats shit!!! check out this for a kit!!
  17. http://www.sub-zero.com.au i get a DNS error
  18. Sub zero performance (there in quensland & web-sites down??) they have custom tuned port pipes, for rb25 for $1400 dude. You might have to pay they a bit extra for a adapter plate if you need one made. i think they bolt up to t3 flange & its a high mount setup. If the pipes i make end up looking really nice, i might make a few sets for people for say $1000. Il post pics when i have finished them in a week or so and il see what you guys think. Cheers, Trev
  19. Hmmm not to sure about the Lag situation, the diffrence in volumetric exhaust pressures between the RB25 and RB26 wouldnt be all that diffrent. It will still be a big job to do, heres some of the things you would have to think about: -Intercooler piping -Intercooler -AMF X2 -Boost controll -Injectors (more air = more fuel) -fuel pump (not sure if the RB26 pump is the same as a RB25) -Computer (i am not to sure how the stock computer will handle the 440CC gtr injectors?) These are just to name a few of your problems. hope this helps, and good luck if you go through with it. Cheers, Trev
  20. Sounds like a good deal to me: this is what i worked out. GT3540s are not around 3K in fact you can buy them retail for around the LOW 2K ($2225) mark (this is RRP): http://www.rpmperformancecentre.com.au/Turbos.htm g Now if its a custom manifold your looking at (at a minimum) $1K. dont spend over $1400 on this. And wastgate your looking at around $600 so i assume this is not fitted (otherwise its EXTREAMLY cheap): Turbo:2225 Pipes: 1000 Wasgt:600 ------------------ $3825 (pretty close to the money) cheers, trev
