  2. Thanks for the replies. I should explain that i have a R32 GTR with standard diffs and purchased this one as a spare (diff & sump) I was just checking the condition and found the odd ratio. Would this diff center fit another nissan diff housing eg. 240K/Skyline ?
  3. I have a GTR front diff/sump. After taking the diff cover off i found the crown wheel has 48 teeth (should be 37 for a R32 / R33) and the markings show LS48.11 What is the ratio ? I think it works out at 4.3+.1 ? Strange as i thought R32 & R33 are 4.1 and R34 3.5 Any thoughts please
  4. Before you take the g/box out check that the clutch fork pivot ball is not dry (lacking grease) Mine was and felt rough and was squeaking. I removed the fork dust cover and managed to grease the pivot ball with a small grease gun that has a long thin probe. That was two years ago and it still fine
  5. Any advice please. I am buying a spare starter motor for my 92 R32 GTR but not sure if i need one with 7,8,9 or 11 teeth ?

  9. Please does anyone else have any ideas on what could cause this problem. I dont think its a low voltage issue. Its more a no voltage issue when the ignition is switched on and cranking the engine over. Thanks for any advice.
  10. Thanks Tacker. I took your advice and changed it over with a spare one I happened to have, but its still the same problem. Does the ECU control the pump (the 2 speed thingy) I have a Apexi PFC
  11. Just a thought, If the voltage is low (9V) and the pump does not run at all, could it be starting to seize and it needs 14V j to keep it running ?

  13. The last time i used my R32 GTR all worked fine, but today it would not start (it tried to start but no sound from the fuel pump) I checked fuses and connections, all seemed ok. I then hot wired the fuel pump and the engine started and ran as normal but as soon as the hot wire was removed the engine stalled. The only thing that has been changed since the last outing was the instrument pack ??? Any help PLEASE !!!

  16. I am planning to fit a 1.5mm head oil restrictor and change the turbos on my R32 GTR. The question is.... Is it possible or not, to remove the head with the inlet manifold, exhaust manifolds and turbos still attached ? Or, which way would be the easiest ? Any help please.

  18. Hi, I have three cars with RYNO (A package deal) The only claim i have made was for a windscreen. One phone call, very easy. I thought renewal time would be interesting, but all was ok .no increase and no new conditions. What reasons have they given you for the delay? Hope all goes ok.
  19. Before you buy a new igniter, try this trick (it worked for me) Cut open the back with side cutters and check the input and output wires. I found on mine, one wire had become detached.(No.4 coil pack) All I did was clear away the insulating goo and soldered it back on. That was 12mths ago, still working fine. Good luck.
  20. Hi, An R32 GTR tank hold 72lts, Driving steady I get about 500ks when the warning light comes on. Power FC, big exhaust, about 12lb boost.

Hi Chris, I have found the best way to undo and tighten the harmonic balancer is to remove one of the clutch slave cylinder bolts (the one below the flywheel ring gear) Find a longer bolt with the same thread and grind a taper (point) on the end. (so the thread does not get damaged when the bolt is removed) And then wind the bolt in (tight) so it contacts and locks the fly wheel. You will find you can put a lot of tension on the HB bolt with this tip. Good luck. Clive
  22. Your spot on Sh@un, I think Julian Edger had his fingers burnt with his GTR. After paying $80k, and then imports started coming in. He also had a big loose and did major damage while he owned it. which = one unhappy experience
  23. Hi,I fitted koni yellow shocks and king springs about 3 years ago to my R32 GTR. the ride is quite good (not to hard) the handling is excellent. I get over 500ks to the tank on the highway, Power fc fitted and tuned by Matt Spry at Pits. 210kw aw, only 12lb boost. Also for highway use i fitted R32 GTS seats (bolts straights in) My other car is a Merc 124 300E which is a great cruiser but has things i dislike (handling, auto trans,etc) I like almost everything about the GTR, except parts cost more than for the merc.
