Restored make some parts but it's all FRP stuff. I'm not aware of any steel products? -

The right hand sill was pretty much gone so it was far quicker to have an entire replacement section made. And the old sill removed with the inner tidied up ready for the section to be welded in place. -

The rear end has been fully repaired and is back together, firs the boot floor had to be welded back into place Then the inner and outer beaver panels could be reattached Once that was done the 1/4 panels were temporarily fitted to line up the tail light panel The end result is a slightly more compete rear profile! -

Progress has been slow becuase the media blaster has been backed up with a large commercial job. There were a few more areas that needed work once the ass end was off. Here's some more progress shots from before it went off. The car arrived back last week so it should start moving now. -
Mohsen finally bought a GTR.

As I mentioned earlier the rear beaver panel and tail light panel had to come off too so they could be repaired properly -

The flares were trial fitted to mark the quarter panels prior to removal Once the quarter panels were off we get a good look at the inner panels which are in pretty good condition The edges of the boot were of course covered in the same gunk as the rest of the car, now the panels are off it will go back to media blasting for a further tidy. -

Yeah pretty impressive huh! Might be $$ but it will be worth it in the end :) Yeah it's all moving pretty quickly now which is exciting. Should hopefully have some photos of the car with the entire rear end off and the tubs going in etc. -

Paul has started work on the rust replacement sections, this is the drivers rear quarter panel. Approx 10 hrs to make these 4 panels. Lower sections for LH and RH 1/4 panels. These are just roughed up and will need fine tuning prior to Oxy welding on. -

Flew up to Adelaide yesterday to take a look at the car, it's amazing how a media blasting and primer is enough to get excited. Progress! I spoke with Paul and we agreed the quarters, roof and rear beaver would now come off. A few pics... The wheel arches have been marked for cutting to fit the flares, new tubs will be fitted with the quarters off. We'll weld in nuts behind them so the flares can be bolted on neatly with hex nuts. Plenty of rust at the base And off with the roof... -

Yeah mate, it's quite standard. More holes that I was expecting in the bonnet, boot and doors but all pretty standard. At least it's going to be done right and wont rust from the inside out :) -

Pretty much every single surface is going to need work at this rate. -

Now the body is back from media blasting we get a good look at what we're dealing with. I'll fly up to Adelaide next week to take a look in person. The plan to date is the rear quarter panels and rear beaver panel will most likely come off. -

Car is back from media blasting, there are always some surprises hiding under the surface! The sills are Swiss cheese. -

Haha, didn't realise that was you! There is some amazing shit under classic car skins. I knew this one was bogged, they all rust there. At least they cut the rust out and sealed the cavity to prevent further issues I guess -
