sounds like a bad contact in the switch, best to try a known working switch to see if that is the prob or not.

Reason For Front Bar Coming Off
Simon-S14 replied to QUIKBLADE's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
nice ceffy but i think you need to keep cutting as the opening doesnt quite look right -
if its fat as, then its a GTR bar... the stock ceffy bar is only sopmething like 16 mm thick... pretty average looking
-
R32 GTR bar's fit tho, like they fit an S13 i have them, they rock!
-
ok thanks.. so how do i tell if i have the Cefiro RB20det or R32 RB20det? I'll solder up the factory crimps and then tape them back up... that way i know it will never be an issue...
-
This thread needs more pics Heres my contribution for the day
-
keep the ceffy!!

240 on stock internals with those supporting mods and a GOOD tune (this is the key here) isnt much stress for an SR20 at all... Denzo from JMS made 360 rwkw's on a stock bottomend SR for quite a while (read 3 track days ) but yeah, they sound like shit
-
Is there anyway of testing the CAS?
-
Im pretty sure its a factory cefiro RB20det (no bov in crossover pipe, and rb20det on the buildplate, also a factory manual) Dont tell me all the parts are different?! Coilpacks cant be, as i have 4 CA18 coilpacks and 2 RB20 ones in there atm, 9ignitor loolks the same but im not sure about the rest. Phil: Rb rails are always a PITA to get out, likewise with a CA, SR's only nissan engine where you can do it in 10 mins... like a 4age

Have had huge issues with my RB20det lately, probs are, ignition cutting out at various points in the rev range (not a miss fire like a plug or coilpack would do, but rather a total ignition cut of all 6 cylns) Some times the problem is only while drifting through corners and not in a straight line.. but a couple of times it has happened while on fullboost in 3-4th gear in a straight line and the ignition will cut out, come back, cut out quite repetively. Now while this is happening, the Tacho also dies... so to me it indicates a loose wire, or a problem somewhere in the wiring of the ignition system. This resulted in me pulling my loom out.. have a look at it and tell me if all the electrical taping in black is factory or not? I know the red tape looks to be non factory... the loom has been pretty molested, with none of the wires soldered, just crimped together.. heres another pic

Phill: i'll take the RB20 looks like the R31 has a RB25, as per his sig.. as for the LSD noises, thats normal for a brand new one, then after a few kms you'll get less of the rubbing sound and more of the clunking sounds. not sure what LSD i have in mine, its a 2 way of some sort but it clunks like a bitch lol

Hey huddy, yeah i thought you'd like that team stuff, damn that was fun i think i got supplied the S13 type spring rates, thats ok tho, i would prefer to have it on the softer side of things then rock hard... i'll do some experimenting with them. how many clicks from soft do you have your fronts and rears on? Cheers Simon -

Thanks softy Bit of an update is needed, Ive now got HSD coilovers supplied from Otomoto.com.au, yet to try them but every drifter in aust that runs them loves them so i cant really go wrong, My KKR turbo is still going strong as, now running 1.2 bar boost and 210 rwkw;s.. loves it! now for a vid http://www.snowpics.net/view_single.php?medid=17005 Click that, then click the link to download the vid in the middle of the page. i will get another one,.. its making more power again since its running 1.2 bar boost. however the graph is irrelevant when the performance of the car on the track is proven time and time again
