  1. some pics from the event so far,.
  2. yeah i dont think so.. a "jap" gearset is still not flawless...
  3. the box i was looking at comes with Emco gears and can handle significantly more torque then the jerico gearset. ive watched a few incars of the dubai guys... what is the cause of their failures??
  4. for what i want to do it would be ok tho yeah?
  5. ppg box is about 8-9 k i rather walk then use a PPG box
  6. i just priced one up... about 4K looking pretty cost effective. track only option tho you wouldnt put one in a street car
  7. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sequential-Jerico-Dog-box-short-shift-4-Speed-Shifter-pre-fab-/110965686249?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19d611ffe9#ht_500wt_1203
  8. Sounds good. Those sequential shifters are only 880 bucks too Next question is how do I get my hands on one
  9. yeah i know they are basically a toploader box. but at the same time it fits the bill... dog engagement, strong and light. i'll be drifting not drag racing
  10. Hey guys... looking into a stronger alternative gearbox for my drift car and someone mentioned jerico boxes. I did a bit of searching on them and it seems they fit the bill.. strong, light, dog engagement and best of all cost effective. Has anyone done the swap and if so whats involved? i realise a lot of custom work will be required but i can do all that.
  11. try going lower... they work best at low pressures. they are fantastic in the wet too
  12. just a word of advice to anyone running the 123's.. they ARE a grippy tyre but when they are brand spanking new and just fitted they are slippery as shit. they need a bit of a 3rd gear light up to scrub the shit off them then they are grippy. bit hard to do that on the front or 4wd cars tho. so on a road car they probably need a good 500 kms of driving before they are at their best, in a rwd car, 20 psi rears in a 265 and you'll struggle to spin 1st gear LOL. they are unreal for the money
  13. Trace the timing on the link and all shall be revealed. I know with my Neo cas I get random rpm spikes of 16,000 rpm logged on the haltech.. Rare but it happens. might look into crank triggers
  14. Impressive in that it only requires 3 slots to function correctly
  15. ive been thinking about mid mounting my RB in my track car. only issue is moving the engine back the sump fouls the crossmember.. so i could potentially use a rear mounted sump + pick up... hmmmm
  16. wait.. so the patrol sump is a rear sump rather then front like most rb's?? am i missing something here
  17. no updates on the s14... but we went back to our private track and got loose over the long weekend again! some clips
  18. Got it sorted. Put 12v to the solenoid
  19. Got a R32 with the heavy steering in all the time, is there some way of activating the speed sensor so that the light steering can be turned on Car has no Speedo or hicas
  20. moar you say? these popped up last night. different viewing spot
  21. Thanks. I'm weighing up whether to keep the current turbo or fit up a t67 with 10cm rear
