  1. Hi Guys, Ive got a Greddy Type RS BOV which i managed to get for free. Im getting my mechanic to install it with a plumb back setup. Now my question is, the adapter is too small for the RB25 flange & you cant simply just buy an adapter for this BOV to fit an RB25. At the moment I think my mechanic is going to be either make a custom adapter to fit it to my standard RB25 flange or he might just weld it to the cooler piping. I personally think id prefer it custom fitted to the flange on the inlet with the stock BOV originally is factory. Mainly because its neater and ive heard the BOV should be as close to the throttle body as possible... I know its a wanky topic but would appreciate your help/advice. Thanks Dean

  3. Ahhk... if its a sh*t job to do dont think ill do it... Any idea what the labour would cost to get it done or the amount of time it would take?? What needs to be taken out exactly to replace em?

  5. Hey guys, Going to be buying the rack end spacers for more lock and thought i might aswell grab the alloy steering spacers aswell while im at it - http://www.gktech.com.au/products/index.asp?ID=159 Anybody have these fitted to their car? Are they worth buying? How do they alter the cars handling/steering exactly? Just want to basically know if they are something to stay away from or even a must to buy... Thanks
  6. Hey guys, Took my car to heathcote drags last week. Never really had any interest in taking my car to the drags but my mates were going & i was a little curious to see how it would go in full street trim so i went! ... wish i hadnt There was about 7956789689 cars there racing, 987698769 of which being VL's. My gearbox is now suddenly slightly crunching 4th gear 50% of the time & the day was just boring in general. Unless you have a 10 second car i really cannot see how people can be excited over racing their car in a straight line? The amount of fun you have doin it versus the strain u put on your drive train reallly doesnt weigh up. Ive so far taken my car to 2 drift track days and have caused more damage at the drags with my car running for a total time of about 10 minutes. Im going to put some really good oil in my gearbox now and see if it stops crunching.. if it continues that will definitely be the last time i go to the drags. By the way car has 265rwkws, best time i managed was a 13.2 at 110MPH. Definitely has mid-high 12's in it with decent flattened tires. No matter what I did 2nd gear was like getting traction on wet mud with the 18s. First 60ft were not as bad, but when i got in 2nd gear it was like i went from tarmac to gravel. lol.. Anyway heres a couple of pics...

  20. Sorry, that comment didnt make sense. Also what is wrong with having a cheap, yet torqey toy drift car on the side which ends up owing u $2,500 in total that handles better than 70% of the cars on the road? Dont generalise VN's on the ones u see parked at maccas with springs taken out of the back. They are one car that can take a very serious caining without a hiccup and that can have a crash repaired for $21.70 with wreckers parts around the corner. They obviously arnt as good as an R31 but can do the same job on the track. Buy a manual one, put a button clutch in it, lock the diff, sway bars & stiff suspension and tell me if you get bored.
