the car handling is very different to gt3 & gt4... thank god. Its just the god damn sound!!

As above!! I miss playing it on PS1. Cannot imagine how much fun a later version would be on PS3 with G25 steering wheel!!! Can anyone advise if its on PS3??? If so y isnt it popular??

Tyre width also doesnt matter too much when u have IRS... in the straight line that is. If u want straight line traction, grab some adjustable camber tops & adjust more positive camber, that way when the car squats, more rubber will surface the ground. With my R33 whether i had 285's on the rear or stockies, my tyre marks were still motorbike tyre width... this howver improved heaps once i put coilovers in as there wasnt as much squat.

Hey guys, Currently rebuilding my motor and cannot decide what turbo to go for. I want a turbo that is responsive/good down low, must be internal gate & something that wont need to be removed in case of an EPA. I want anything between 240-280 rwkws... would be perfectly happy with a strong 250-260.

Gran Turismo sound is still stuck 8 years ago in technology. If i was to close my eyes i would've thought that was a real life youtube video of a gtr and a ferrari.

Its beyond poor. You look at the graphics, its like ur actually in the real thing its so f***ing real and then u hear the sound and you just feel like head-butting a concrete wall. In all honestly the sound is of higher quality/realism in Gran Turismo 2... I wish i could have forza 2 on the PS3. Only reason why i chose PS3 over xbox+forza was because the logitech steering wheel setup isnt compatible on the xbox and blue ray of course.... Is GTR2 ever gona come out on PS3????

assigning a button wont do anything, if it isnt activated in the game... someone on these forums was saying something about holding the triangle button before the race or something??? please advise.

Ok here it go's: Graphics: Excelent, nothing to complain about, simply fantastic. (besides having no tyre marks) Sound effects: Disgusting. The level of graphics DO NOT match the level of car sound quality in this game. I am EXTREMELY disapointed by this part of the game. I can hardly see ANY imrovement of engine sound/tyre screeching etc in this sequel from Gran Turismo 2!! The R34 GTR for example sounds just like it did in GT2... very electronic, plain, flat, no depth just boring. I was actually getting annoyed listening to it on a 3 lap race!! Im sure i wouldnt be getting annoyed listening to an R34 GTR reving to 8000rpm in real life for 3 laps!! I'd happily take 78658765 laps of that sound in real life!! Also the sound of the other cars racing with u on the track is pathetic. Makes me sick. How can these guys concentrate so much on graphics but leave sound technology at that of 8 years ago in gaming???? With the turbo cars, you cannot hear any turbo spool what so ever & or any sought of flutter/dose when backing off or changing gears. Also the wind down noise of the engines in the cars is even worse!! Sounds like need for speed hot persuit or something from 1997. Rev limiter noise could also improve HEAPS. Just to fake & electronic. Needs to be more dirty, a little exhaust popping etc etc. Car handling physics: Big imrpovement from the previous GT series games. Its now to the extent where if u want to drift u need to HAVE an idea! And u need a steering wheel to do it properly! The cars whip lash if u over correct etc, throttle control means heaps in this game too.. pretty impressive. However I will extend this part of the review once i have my G25 steering wheel. Because with the controller the whip lash thing seems a little over exagerated, but this will be confirmed once i have the wheel... So they are the good points... Now for the bad points... I parked a car on a slanted part of the track... now guess what the car did?? It started sliding down the hill like it was on ice!!?? WHHAATT THHEE F*****!!! How can a game of this calibre allow to have such a stupid **** up like that. Thats the sought of thing id expect on a nintendo 64 racing game! Also... braking traction... the car still stays straight no matter what gear ur spinning. It occasionally will come out one way sliiigghhtly when ur lucky but thats it. This is also sickening. This is the 5th version of the game, and that vital part of the car physics still hasnt been corrected. I am PRAYING the above **** ups are corrected/improved for the full version.

Is GTR2 or anything similar ever going to come out on the PS3????????? I've seen clips on youtube and that game looks unbelievable! whats all this fuss about live for speed!?? I remember playing that on my PC a couple of years ago... isnt it like a little demo game with car physics that help u slide a car around very easily with very dated graphics...?? Or have there been newer additions since..??? Only realistic part of that game i saw was the clutch it had!??

As above guys...? I got my PS3 yesterday with GT5 & just wondering how to activate the clutch...???

hang on im confused??? So u cant modify the cars in Gran Turismo 5 like u could in all the others??????? Or is it just in this demo version that u cant...???

Hey guys... Expecting to lose it soon for about 3 or 6 months... not sure. Anyway I've just purchased my PS3 with Gran Turismo 5 & have the Logitech G25 steering wheel on order... I have a girlfriend which conveniently drives... What do u guys think? Will i go insane..? I work in the city and go by train anyway... ...Forgot to ask, anyone have any good legal aid contacts in relation to these sought of cases??

haha nice! Anyone got any youtube clips of someone having some fun with the clutch?? they all seem to be no idea panzys on youtube scared to have some real fun... And what annoys me the MOST is most clips of this game on youtube are edited gay **** background music!! why do i want to hear that?????????

Thats cos u guys probably arnt using the steering wheel?? Reason why the is so much snap/whip lash is cos with the controller u cant exactly just turn a certain about and be smooth... its either full lock or nothing... so in real life if u were to do the same thing (somehow) that same would obviously happen. Once i get my PS3 and GT5 with G25 wheel tomoro and have a play with a decent car im gonna write a massive review on what i think of the car physics...

Nice! So can u fan the clutch while stretching a gear for example to get the car going a little..? for example if uv just completed a hair pin and ur stuck lagging in bottom of second gear can u just tap the clutch like u would in real life to get it going??

Is it worth while getting this steering wheel if ur only gonna use it for PS3??????

So once its on by pressing triangle do u NEED the clutch to change gears & take off etc?? I hope so! Let me know... This sounds like fun

I was playing gran turismo 5 at jb hi fi yesterday and u didnt need a clutch to change gear?? Is it in the options or something where u can select the clutch to operate?? Please explain

Hang on, so Gran Turismo 5 has a clutch???? Are you guys telling me i can fan the clutch mid way through a bend in say 3rd gear? lol Is there a button for the clutch using the normal controller????

Ok, so Live for speed, R Factor, GTR 2 & GT legends all dont come out on ps3 or xbox 360??? can someone confirm this?? Cos they seem like REALLLYY good games on youtube...
