Hey guys, I am selling my daily R32 Skyline. Have owned the car for about 6 months now and it has never missed a beat & been extremely reliable. Absolutely fantastic car. Make/Model: 1990 R32 Skyline GTS-T Color: Black Transmission: Manual 5spd KMS: 160k Reg Expiry: September 2011 Location: Epping Contact: Dean - 0401 682 270 Mechanical Modifications/repairs: -Trust Return Flow Front Mount Intercooler -3inch turbo back exhaust system -Cushion Button Clutch (very drive-able) -Apexi Pod Filter -Walbro Fuel Pump -R32 GTR Front Brake Calipers with new discs & new Bendix Pads -New Battery -New Waterpump -New Timing Belt Exterior & Handling: -Tien Super Street Coilovers -17inch Volk GTC Wheels -M Spec Body Kit -GTR N1 Rear Lip Interior: -Deep Dish Steering wheel -MP3 Player -Aftermarket front & rear speakers -Skyline Floor mats Price: -$7,850ono *urgent sale* Overall comments: The car drives really well. Has been my daily ever since I bought it when it was completely standard & hasnt given me any problems what so ever. Although the thrust bearing is a little noisy, the engine and gearbox seem to be A1. Gearbox slides into every gear & the engine feels very strong. Pulls like an RB25. Engine has never had a boost controller or been boosted. Always runs 98 octane fuel & fully synthetic oils. Spark plugs were also replaced 2000kms ago. Pictures of the car are below.

Every car you've driven sounds incredibly accurate? LMAO. Thats all I had to read to disregard the rest of what you wrote.

THAT SUCKS!!!!

Does the G25 wheel work on Xbox?

As expected, Forza 3 EATS this game alive. Cannot believe how pathetic these developers are. I find it sickening that after sooooooo long, the cars STILL sound like absolute SH*T!! I drove 600HP R34 GTR which sounded like... F**T if i know!!??? A corolla with an exhaust and punched out cat?? Drove an M3... which sounded like what it would've if it was in Gran Turismo 2. Anyhow tried a few other cars and was SO bloody dissapointed. In general the game still sucks and is still SO FAR behind Forza 3. In forza, if you drive a 600hp car, it FEELS and goes like a 600HP car. You 'feel' the car break traction, the engine climbs through the rev range in a way that is just so much more exciting and realistic. Also, while they have actually improved the handling physics in GT5, the whip lash effect is still over exagerated & the LSD effect is still not lively enough on low speed stuff. Anyway im buying an Xbox.
-
ummmmmmmm.... because its rear wheel drive??? And its a car lots of people drive that would love to play with on the game?? Cant believe the GTST isn't in there. What a joke.
-
Sounds good! Can someone tell me if the car naturally steps out when breaking traction in the straight line without turning the wheel? (Forza 3 does this ) Also, do the cars still feel like they have an open wheel diff when doing burnouts etc? This was the main flaw in the physics. The car wouldnt naturally slide around when doing burnouts. If you dont understand what im saying, playing live for speed & then play GT5 prologue and you'll see the BIG difference.. Just do a donut or something and it will be obvious.

Ok I need to seriously vent here. My brain is being pan fried reading all these posts about the graphics - who gives a cr*p??? I still haven't played the game and am dying to find out what improvements have been made to the sh*t house engnie sound & handling physics but all I am reading is stuff about shadows, reflection, crowd graphics etc...? lol who gives a flying duck about this? I am going to play this at a mates house tonight because there is no way im wasting my money if its like the previous versions. Once I play it tonight, I will write up a thorough post about what I think so that those people who care about the important stuff can have a read before they waste their money.

lol jonboy - I have no idea who you are, but you were obviously bullied heaps at school.
-
Yes correct! And why do we NEVER hear external wastegates in car games? lol.

mad082. Please hop into a 600hp Supra. Rev and dump 3rd gear off the line, then flat change 4th continuing the wheel spin and tell me if your car stays straight. I dont care what road it is. Your car WILL NOT stay straight. Guessing you've never driven a powerful rear wheel drive car with an LSD or locked diff.
-
mad082, if you consider the 'sound' of a car racing simulator to be categorised as a wank factor then go to time zone & play Daytona. I put sound up there just as imortant as the handling physics of a game. Graphics I put at the bottom! I'd much prefer playing a racing game with pixelized graphics where the car handling physics are just like real life and give me goosebumps listening to them over a game with crystal clear real life graphics & cars that sound like vacuume cleaners. The first time I played Forza, was Forza 3. And I tell you what, I lost my mind. I felt like spitting on my PS3 and snapping my GT5 Prologue disc in half afterwards because of it. (all because of the sound!!) Hearing the depth of detail of the Supra smashing the rev limiter absolutely blew me away. For the first time I actually enjoyed just driving the car straight in a racing game just because the sound was so realistic. The physics of Forza also were just unreal - sooooooooooooooooooooooooo far advanced over GT5. In every Gran Turismo I've played, you can rev limit 5th spinning in a 600hp Supra and the car stays straight??? hmmmmmmmmm. In forza, once the car breaks traction, it naturally steps out making you have to control the car. If the cars dont naturally do this in GT5, ill find it bl**dy HILARIOUS after 4 years of work.

If the cars in this game still sound like electronic vacuume cleaners & handle like they have open wheel diffs I will make sure I bag every single review site I can access! Reallllyyyy hoping they have come close to the sound Forza has mastered!
