Im thinking about disconnecting my battery to reset my ECU. The stereo I have in the car is the standard one still. If I disconnect my battery, will my stereo continue to work. Alot of stereos require a code to start working again after the battery has been disconnected. Just wondering if this is the case? Anyone know? Thanks

so let me get this right. The performance gains from a new exhaust system will still be very similar with or without a wastegate pipe. But with a wastegate pipe it improves............ (finish sentance please) and what do you mean by turbulence?

what are the benefits of having this extra pipe?

Should be getting my exhaust soon and was wondering if it is necessary for wastegate integration as part of the system. If there is no wastegate integration is there a chance of blowing the turbo up and has the stock exhaust got this integration. Dont really know what Im talking about so please let me know. Andrew

As i was washing my car today I noticed a strange beeping sound coming from under my bonnet. After closer inspection I noticed it was coming from near the air filter box. It was like a little speaker and the wierd thing is as my hand was getting closer to it the pitch of the beeping would change. After about 15 minutes this noise stopped. Anyone have any idea of what this might be?? Also, anyone know the contact details for the exhaust shop next to autoworx in wangara.

Hi I have a stocker r33 and there seems to be a bit of a flat spot in 1st gear. If I dont keep the revs right up before I let the clutch out, 1st is very slow to take of and hit boost. Other gears are fine. Just wondering if this is normal?

I did actually ask them but cant remember what it was. Apparently they use it for all their cars (they have a few gtr's, supras, 300zx etc) I checked the oil and filter and both were defintley replaced. What is the recommnded oil for lines and what sort of price is it? Thanks

no one is whinging except probably your mother. I was asking a simple question and once again people like you take it out of context. I was not having a go at you, just curious as to why someone would pay for all the expenses of having a high performance car and not use it in that manner. If you wish to remain civil, I am using BP ultimate and since the car just got complied I have no idea which oil is in her. However, It was complied at a high performance shop and would expect something that is reasonable.

whats the point in having a turbo if your going to be changing gears at 3000RPM.

My car sometimes after starting seems to idle eratically for a few seconds before idling normally. Does anyone know what might cause this? ALso how many ks do you guys get out of a full tank when driving at a medium to hard level?. Probab only been getting about 250-300 myself

am certainly loving it. Car is a stocker but good things come to those who wait. Im a bit worried about my license though. Its such a smooth and quiet (stock exhaust) car that u dont even realise hoe fast your going. I only have 3 point left and crossing my fingers. Finally got my compliance plate and registration yesterday. Been driving non stop since then and the car hasnt let me down. ...Everthing I had hoped for. Used the Maguires products today and shes come up a treat. First used soft gel wash then paint cleaner then water finish polish ..and will wax it tomorrow is this the right way to do it? Maguires have got so many products that seem to do similar things. Was hoping to see some of you tonight so I could have a run. Drove everywhere and couldnt find anyone willing to have a bit of fun. This was the first time Ive got to drive it after waiting over 8 weeks. I was certainly on a high...but now on a low after taking it back to the workshop. VL seems like a piece of shit now. Soon there will be another black r33 on the road...LOOK OUT

Had my first taste of driving my skyline today and I liked it. Still havent got my compliance plate but I couldnt wait any longer. got temp permit and took it for a drive or 2. Just thought Id let you guys know. On the drivers door next to the window button is another button with a sort of X mark on it. Was does this do? anyone know.

If my car was signed off last tuesday, should I be expecting my plate around NOW? This has been the longest wait ever (the whole process) and next time I might pay the bit extra and have the car straight away (buy locally). It is not good for my sleeping habits.
