Yeah, I really can't go back to a smaller screen after having an S3. The size isn't even a problem 99% of the time. Plus, it's waaaay better for reading/browsing as you don't have to zoom as much, and you can hold the phone a reasonable distance from your face without squinting. Seriously, phones have gone this way for a reason. Our needs are changing. Battery life is horse shit however.

Yeah I made an AE86 with a 2jz fully modded for shits and giggles, the thing is completely undriveable. Even 6th gear at 300km/h it just spins up the tyres as if it's in 2nd heh. Longer gear ratios would be nice!

It's very pretty for an xbox game. Single player and MP both fun. MP is kinda like call of duty now in terms of character progression. It's good, adds an extra element to the mix.

It definitely feels more arcadey handling wise. Not that that's any bad thing, the game is fun, and encourages drifting/damage etc. Reminds me a lot of NFS Underground 2, and I loved that game as a teenager.

Just got my Galaxy S3 4G today. It's much nicer looking with the chrome edge, and Jelly Bean is a ton smoother. Google voice is awesome, even more accurate than Siri I think! Obviously the main attraction is 4G.. this is in Perth. Not sure why the upload was so slow, every round after was faster.

Tablets are great but need a keyboard. I have an iPad with a Logitech ultra thin KB, it's sweet. Laptops typically have worse battery life, and worse screens. Good thing about my iPad is its pretty much a laptop until I detach the keyboard and then its a tablet again. Wouldn't try to get any serious work done on it, but for what I use it for (uni, email, games, movies, books) it's farking perfect. Notice how all the windows tablets are coming out with keyboards?

The vast majority of people do not know how to customise their phones, nor would they give a shit if they could. The number of steps to turn it off/on is not what I was getting at. You don't need to turn the GPS off in iOS because it only comes on when it's needed. EDIT: I think I need to clarify my point. I'm a systems analyst so I perhaps see things a little differently to most. The whole concept of a 'smart' phone, is a device that is exactly what you want it to be at that point in time. So whether that's a GPS, a gaming system, a word processor, or even (gasp) a phone, the device should take info from its bewildering array of sensors to deliver intelligent functionality. In addition, intelligent software design should make things as simple as can be, or automate things wherever possible. This means that, in the case of smart phones, every time you are required to manually switch things off, close programs or lower performance to save battery - that's a failure of the operating system to properly manage resources based on the normal usage of the device. You shouldn't have to change anything to get at least a full day's usage out of your phone.. that's my point. I realise batteries are shitty too but that's a whole 'nutha kettle of fish.

I didn't just say it was 'complicated'. I said it was 'more' complicated, by which I was making an obvious comparison to iOS. Case in point: The series of buttons across the top of the notification tray (GPS, WIFI, Power Saving etc). Now while I see what they're trying to do here, by offering high level control to the user.. but why do I have to choose to have GPS off? Shouldn't it just come on when it's needed? Why do I have to make the choice between good battery life and good performance? I'm sure that one day when I'm running low on juice I'll appreciate it, but most of the time I don't want to know about it! That's me, someone who actually understands the implications of using those features. What about your nanna, or your mum? They are just going to stare at those buttons in bewilderment, which is what I'm getting at. iOS hides all that shit away, which makes it functionally simpler to operate.

Like most android users you are missing the point. Android is more complicated to use, something most people can do without. I'm getting used to my sgs3 but it's nowhere near as intuitive as an iphone. I am appreciating it's flexibility, but I'm sure many people don't.

In the past couple weeks I've had a play with my gf's S3, and I have to say I really appreciate the extra screen real estate. I was waiting to see what Apple did with iPhone 5, and I have to say I'm slightly disappointed.. I really thought they were going to blow me away with some interesting features. So I had a long hard think today, my mouse was inches away from clicking preorder on an iPhone 5, but the screen was the clincher for me. So I have a Galaxy S3 now! Came with a free car kit, bluetooth headset and a 16gb memory card EDIT: I realise that the 4G version comes out next week, but for me it's not really worth the battery life hit, I've never had a problem with current data speeds anyways.

Wouldn't call the specs worse. It's a dual core A15, which no other phone on the market has. S3 may be quad core but it's based on an A9, ie last gen tech.

My point was, you'd have to do a search for every model of android, rather than just one search for iPhone.. Neither is better that the other, they all use the same glass!
