  1. Er, not exactly. Nail the throttle in a corner, in the wet in a FWD and you end up wearing whatever you were pointed at. Understeer, yo.
  2. Well, this week I've flat out busy and basically only got a chance to work out 1 night this week, and whaddaya know, soreness was pretty much gone!!
  3. I like it, mainly for the reason that it bumps up the 1 series from its 'bottom' position. 1M coupe is drool-worthy. I ache to drive one!! Hope they ditch the bread van body style from the 1 series too, and just leave the hatch to the car that was meant to be a hatch.
  4. An unlocked multiplier
  5. Yeah the soreness is about 5-10 mins into the run, wears off slightly when I've warmed up but still noticeable. Birds you may be onto something with the foot striking thing. I was always told to strike with the front of your foot because heel striking is damaging in the long term (massive shock), but maybe a mid-foot stike is the way to go. I'll try it out and report back next week. Cheers for the advice guys, maybe I am training a little too much. Perhaps I'll try dialling it back for a week and focus more on the weights training, then go vice versa a week later. Gotta say though, even though it was hurting a bit, I'm feeling fit as a fiddle at the moment, love it!
  6. A question for you guys: I'm still doing my 5 x 5km runs a week, but now I'm upping the pace. I've been feeling some pretty great increases in endurance.. which I guess is starting to push into the anaerobic side of things.. BUT I'm also starting to get quite sore calves, even on the verge of painful. They dont hurt at all just walking around or whatever but when I run its getting worse. Everyone says just run through it, but there must be something I can do to help it? I should note, I do already have pretty good shoes, so I don't think it's that, and I also do a pretty decent warm up/down.
  7. +1 for BA XR6T or XR8 Better chassis, nicer interior, better handling, but keep it fairly standard or you'll blow the BTR to smithereens. Unless your budget can stretch to one with a ZF 6-speed auto, those are bulletproof.
  8. Worst car I ever drove. Gearshift sucks, felt like it fell over every time I went round a corner, engine buzzed and rattled.. What a Piece Of Shit.
  9. The difference is, as always, that Apple integrate the features better than anyone else.
  10. At least there's new features.. We've all paid for windows 7 when it's what vista should have been in the first place!
  11. Apparently the difference between 2500K/2600K is SFA for games. If you use a lot of multi threaded apps, thats where you'll see a jump in performance. Depends whether you care about the bragging rights of owning an i7 I guess.
  12. Well, my awesome mate doyl gave me his Q6600 because his motherboard died, I stuck a TRUE 120 on it and overclocked it to 3.2ghz. It's so much faster now that I'm not even going to bother upgrading (for now)!
  13. Good work mate, I've got a 6950 too, flashed to a '70, great card for the money. I think the performance difference only works out to be 5% more or something but hey, free performance is free performance!!
  14. I run a 252rwkw daily.. I've got a GT-RS sitting on 14psi, same as joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo I've got nothing in the catch can, motor is 103xxx kms. Will be seeing how much more I can get out of it (18-ish psi) in a few months As people say it depends how you drive it, honestly driving it to work/shops I'd be surprised if I'd ever utilise more than 5k RPM, probably only ever puts out 140rwkw max
  15. Really? The servers over there must really be getting hammered. I downloaded Wipeout and Ratchet and Clank in an hour
  16. People seem to forget that the aim of a business is to make money!! All companies claim they love to give good service but it's all done to sweeten the deal and lighten your wallet. Price cutting is the worst thing for a business, of course people do it to remain competitive but its a last resort. eg. I work at Coventrys, the prices we charge at retail are higher than places like Malz etc. Coventrys may make, for example $6 profit (made up number, wouldnt be that much) on the sale of one oil filter. Malz might sell 6 oil filters at $1 profit each. Who's cleverer in the end? Malz have 6x the customers to serve, 6x the receipts to print, 6x the data entry, etc etc. Not to mention returns, warranties blah blah. At the end of the day, if a business can get away with charging high prices, then why the hell wouldnt they? I will refer to Apple as a prime example of this..
  17. It's back, apparently. Source
  18. Nah dude, read my post again, the 6950, not 6850
  19. Hot Tip: If you can get a reference ATI 6950, you can flash the BIOS and change it to a 6970, like I did. The cards are physically identical, just different BIOS.
  20. PC Case Gear Great store If you're in Perth though, hit up PLE because quite often their prices are almost identical to PCCG, but you dont have to worry about shipping. Sometimes they will knock a bit off the price, I think it depends on their mood half the time though hehe.
  21. Yep, they are 16:10
  22. It's an awesome monitor though, and it'll match the 20" one I have now
  23. Im going to upgrade my computer in a couple months, this is what I had in mind.. Thoughts? Comments? (I already have an ATI 6970 video card, plus hard drives)
  24. Well ended up getting a bottle of 500mg B3 tablets, as well as a Iron + Vitamin C combo, hopefully should help me stay on top of things energy wise
  25. I have 2 x 120GB Plus 2 x 1TB drives for movies and shiznit EDIT: Should also add, that conventional HDD's fall into a serious hole when it comes to small files/lots of random read/write, due to physical limitations. SSD's poop on normal drives in this situation, RAID or no RAID.
