  1. I'd rather play with my friends on PS3 than random internet douchebags, this is a good thing
  2. Cheers dude!
  3. No, there's a totally separate game with different puzzles
  4. Finished co-op last night, and single player tonight. Great game, pity it doesnt last longer though!!
  5. So there's this gun right... and it shoots portals
  6. Just got up to part 3 in co-op, I reckon its the best co-op game I've played since Halo 1 in the old days!! So many lulz to be had
  7. Just played for about half an hour, love it already! So polished, god-damn valve know how to make a good game
  8. So, as this game is releasing in 15 mins according to GLaDOS@home.. who's got it preordered? My guess is that this is going to be a serious contender for GOTY on any platform... Also for anyone wanting a bit more backstory etc etc, Valve have released a really cool comic here on the official site: Official Portal 2 Website Hurry up 10 minutes!!
  9. Just got an xbox controller for my pc, booted up this game and to my surprise everything is already mapped out perfectly... cant half tell its a port haha. Now this might just be me.. but I think I like playing it better with the gamepad!
  10. I'm upgrading to sandy bridge i7 2600k come tax time, that and my 6970 should get along just fine with this game I think
  11. Just thought I would share something I did during uni this semester, I'm actually kinda proud of it considering its the first thing I ever made in illustrator and I have zero artistic talent We had to re-create an image in adobe illustrator, using only vector graphics, which as anyone who has done this kind of thing knows is much harder Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: (10x harder!) What do you think?
  12. This is just a suggestion, but wouldn't you rather just bang another R33 motor in and spend the extra cash on making it more awesome? Seems like a lot of dicking around for not a whole lot of gain.. especially at that power level. If you wanted to bump it up to 300rwkw I'd understand the decision more.
  13. I am probably overly paranoid, but I can't stand the idea of water in my computer, knowing my luck something would leak and result in fire/death I have a TRUE 120 CPU cooler, it works great
  14. Yeah that would be sweet, 4850's are old technology too, more support in the future for 6 series cards + DX11
  15. Dont forget that Crysis 2 is a DX10 game, but I'm sure that 2x 4850 would be better See here for some good comparisons too: Graphics Card Heirachy Chart
  16. Got this yesterday, I have an E6750 Core 2 Duo@3ghz, and AMD 6970, gotta say, this thing is buttery smooth on hardcore, I think it even runs better than Crysis 1!!! SP is pretty lame for the first hour or so but it gets way better You can really tell that it's an console port though, when you first start it up it asks you to 'adjust the brightness on your TV', plus there are literally no adjustable settings for graphics other than normal, gamer, hardcore etc. You can I've heard adjust these things through screwing around with the console/config files I've heard though.
  17. Sounds about right, auto's pull a little bit less than manuals
  18. That explains so much about America's last president
  19. Yeah, I was more interested in the hp gain vs boost added, that helps! Are you running a standard exhaust manifold?
  20. You know this how? Thanks mate, can you remember any numbers, like the difference between 14 and 18? Plus, from the all important seat of the pants dyno, was it worth it?
  21. Hi everyone, Looking for some advice. I have an R33 GTS25T with: Pod filter Intercooler 3 inch turbo back exhaust Walbro fuel pump (not a fake) 550cc injectors Oil catch can HKS GT-RS Turbo Power FC Greddy profec bspec 2 Currently it makes 338rwhp on ~15psi. No real blowby to speak of, pretty healthy motor on 97xxx kms. Basically, I was considering getting a retune and upping the boost to around 18psi. Anyone know what sort of gains I could expect, or should I not bother because I am already making the power most people make out of this turbo anyway? (Boost being a measure of resistance to flow etc etc) I have also heard claims that the standard exhaust manifold is marginal even at the power I am currently making, is there any truth to this? Cheers
  22. I have a 96 GTS25T with 95k I also have a GTRS turbo. I make 252rwkw @ 15psi. There's probably more in it, but as my tuner said, the power was 'there' without leaning on the motor too hard so why push my luck! As for how it drives on the street, its kind of deceptive.. sometimes it doesn't 'feel' like you are going fast, but looking at the speedo its obvious that it isnt true. Also, I can't speak for anyone else's car, but I have pretty good tyres and unless its provoked my car just digs in, grips and rips through 1st and 2nd. EDIT: Forgot to add, that my car passed over the pits with a GT-RS 8)
  23. You need a lot of processing power. Pretty sure some BMW engines have infinitely variable cam timing for each individual cylinder. VANOS or VARIOCAM or something like that if I recall. Ford DOHC sixes have dual VCT now, but its not of the same complexity as the BMW system. Apparently VCT was the main culprit for the gain in power those engines gained from AU to BA because it extended torque higher in the rev range. Prolly not likely to happen for an RB25. Still, fixed is better than nothing!!
  24. +1 for GT-RS On the street there is honestly no need to rev an RB25 with this turbo very high, having full boost by 3k rpm means any overtaking you wanna do is easy. Its actually worrying how quickly they gain speed if you dont keep an eye on the speedo. (But if you wanna rev to 7k every now and then they still have some punch )
  25. +1 You should get some side skirts/rear pods too
