  1. My bad, forgot to mention that I do have a front mount. N I B - You work at Top Racing don't you? What do you usually charge to tune a Nistune vs Piggyback, if you don't mind me asking here?
  2. I thought that they had one now for RB25DET ecu? EDIT: Ah, I read a bit more of the Nistune website, you're right bozodos, either a Z32 or R32 ecu is needed. Sounds like a pain in the arse, I might just stick with the Greddy. Thanks anyway guys!
  3. Hrm, it's true I could sell the Greddy later if I ever decide to upgrade.. has anyone done the piggyback first then moved to standalone that could compare the two in terms of performance?
  4. Hi all, I'm the proud new owner of this 93 Skyline GTS25t, I used to have a 4-door version a few years ago, I couldn't stay away Anyway, its relatively stock, having just a cat-back exhaust, hi-flow muffler and cheap looking bleed valve boost controller. I'm planning on fitting a better dump/front pipe, and the car came with a Blitz dual SBC that I'm going to get installed. The next planned mod was getting a tune, and that's where I'm not sure. One of my workmates is offering to sell me a Greddy piggyback computer for $100, but I was also considering getting a Nistune. Being that Nistune's cost around $400 to buy, the piggyback is obviously much cheaper. As of now, I'm not planning to upgrade the turbo(hopefully no AFM issues), so I was wondering if it's worth spending the extra dosh on the fully customisable ECU? To explain further, this Greddy piggyback resulted in my workmates R33 putting out 260rwhp, with pretty much the same mods I listed above. Another friends R34 is putting out much the same horsepower, same mods with a PowerFC. I know that the peak power only tells half the tale, can anyone comment whether low down/off boost/midrange is much different with full tune rather than just air/fuel?
  5. Ugh i know what you mean, just bought a 33 with a fully hektic BOV.. I would be fine with it at the track or something (I am childish at heart and the noises make me giggle ) but for the street it is serious cop bait!
  6. Not really about psi, its about the air that the turbo flows
  7. No room? What are you talking about, people have bin puttings twin turbos on Commodore V6 + V8's for years now!! Weight is a non issue because its massively offset by the power increase you get with turbocharging. I heavily doubt Ford will drop their brand spankers high-tech straight 6 in the bin for a V6. That is one of, if not the most powerful mass production turbo straight six in the world!
  8. I have a 1994 AE92R Corolla Seca since my Skyline got killed. Bought it for 4 grand, came with CD player and splits. Since then I've spent $600 on new king springs and monroe shocks (I gettems cheep) and thats it!! $40 a week on fuel for 450-500ks of thrashing, more kays on the highway. Handles good now too! On a side note, I have SO much more money now I dont have a Skyline
  9. Nice ride man!! Love the rims. This was mine.. Until this happened Dont let it happen to you!
  10. GCG Hiflow~$2000 SAFCII + tune ~$800 Sorted
  11. Nah wasnt a camera, it was an actual cop
  12. The assessor just called me and said its most probably going to be a write off, however I need to get a quote because if the accident goes to court they need evidence that it was actually written off.
  13. Yeah, all the panels have shifted so its a BIG job to fix. I dont want them to fix it because I'll be stuck with a crashed car that isnt worth as much as it was
  14. You were right, and the panel beaters are booked solid so might end up being a write off! Thanks for your support guys it means a lot . I wont be fighting the fine as I'm moving really close to my work so I'm going to take it on the chin, and save some money for 3 months!
  15. I got rear ended this morning. Im kinda bummed about it because I got a speeding fine yesterday on my 21st birthday, and I think I lost my license. The worst thing is that they pegged me for 95 in a 60 zone leading on to an on-ramp of the freeway . Kind of an unfair spot, I think. On the plus side I got birthday sex
  16. If you cant afford the insurance, you cant afford the car mate. A turbo R33 is a fast car, and it gets sideways without too much effort. Please, buy a non turbo or a regular car until you can afford the insurance!
  17. 4WD turbo stageas are NOT rare. You should have no troubles getting a half cut.
  18. Ill tell you what to look for, my signature!
  19. Also dude, I'd say you're going to have a fair bit of trouble getting 500rwhp out of a 20, stroker or not. Especially with the 20 head. It will be cheaper and more powerful to get an RB25 motor, even with the money you've already spent. My $0.02.
  20. I wouldnt call a GTHO shaker a family car. But that was farkin years ago. I'll give you that one
  21. *thumbs down* From me anyway. Its gonna be your car dude, if you like it, buy it! Screw what other people think!
  22. Noone seems to believe me so I'll say it again Phillips. Diamond. Vision Had them for 4 months now, no worries.
  23. As someone said before, where in the modifying world was it required for that guy to give a toss what any of you think? Im going to buy a Landcruiser and put in an Rb26, put the 2H 6 cylinder diesel into the Skyline and tow a boat with it just to annoy you all
  24. Yep, blue vision blows my mate bought some and they looked identical to his previous headlights. Go crystal vision mate, you wont regret it.
  25. I have a bog stock, auto 4-door and I find the chang from first to second to be harsh, so it might just be a Skyline auto thing?
