  1. The only sequential system even worth a mention is the Supra's. Boost and tyre frying torque from a few hundred RPM, what could be better in a street car?
  2. Put the engine on the roof and vent the blowoff valve through a whoopee cushion. Sorry Im drunk I just got my tax back
  3. Plus, front wheel drive wheelspin doesnt exactly slew the car sideways, its just boring...
  4. Well the smoke on cold start could be just condensation in the exhaust. But one single boost spike shouldnt do anything to the turbo.
  5. Yes but god commodores do not like to rev.. they hit the limiter before 6k! My friend has a lightly modded VT and just about redlines it every gear everywhere he goes, and he's never had any troubles at all with it. Very surprising considering he changes the oil like every 20,000ks and its already done 190k. The ole' buicks are a lump, but they're a tough lump.
  6. Yeah, If I was keeping mine I'd remove my spoiler for sure.
  7. Hey man, nice car! Its exactly the same as mine cept mine's auto Incidentally for sale if anyone's interested..
  8. No offense, but isnt that what every section on this forum is for?
  9. Its a different spec engine you can't just bolt everything straight on!
  10. Hey mate, I also have an auto 33 -Same size turbo, but slightly more conservative ECU tune(180kw vs 186kw standard). -Its safe to run about 10-11 psi, you can go higher but you'll reduce the lifespan of your turbo significantly. -The stock auto is good for 220rwkw I'm told, although you'd probably be wise to invest in a better transmission cooler to stop it burning out.
  11. It'd look good either way dude!!
  12. Lol.. I remember on my old Camry it was directly in front of you, right under the exhaust manifold.. Easiest car I've ever had to change the oil for, don't even need to jack it up to get under!! But do you know what you're looking for? I'm guessing yes but who knows..
  13. i don't know how to activate diagnosis mode..
  14. Thanks mate, yeh checked that, its ok.
  15. Hey all, Well about a week ago my ABS warning light came on in my R33 GTS25t. I thought it must just be the pads need replacing, as I know they were getting low. Anyway, I've had a look and the pads seem ok for now, so I thought I'd try an emergency brake. The wheels locked up, so my ABS is caput... Brake fluid level is fine.. Could it be wheel speed sensor related, or is it the actual ABS unit? If so how much are parts to replace/repair? I don't know a whole lot about this.. Cheers
  16. Wow, I didn't even know they could make 2JZ's rev that high!! I was under the impression that they hate to rev!!
  17. Get a mechanic to give it a full run-over. RAC or NRMA or similiar. That'll tell you exactly what you need to know.
  18. So as you all know its double demerits this easter weekend. I drove from bunbury to perth just before in my '33.. sittin on 110. I get some riced up POS laser P plater tailgating me so I slow down, he overtakes and gives me the finger. Wtf? Next I see a P plater EF Falcon doing at least 160km/h weaving through freeway traffic. Sure enough, its got a shiny silver exhaust, slammed suspension and huge chromies. Wanker. Someones gonna get hurt by these f*cks, and if its me they better hope I'm not conscious. [/end rant]
  19. What a waste of time. How would you feel if you hurt someone? Noone is impressed except 15 year old girls.. But maybe thats the result you're after. I hope you get a yellow and a massive fine.
  20. Everyone should know whether they have ABS or not, and also be able to tell the difference between warped rotors and having ABS! As a test, on an empty road accelerate to 80kmph and then slam your foot on the brakes as hard as you can. If your wheels lock up you dont have ABS, if they make a weird grinding noise and you can still maneuvre with the steering wheel then you have it! After you're used to it it will feel weird driving a car without it Incidentally, the stopping power of ABS has saved me twice, once on gravel when a random cow jumped out in front of me, and the second when I wasnt paying attention and nearly drove straight through an intersection!
  21. Hey everyone, I'm one of those lurkers that reads everyones stuff and posts once in a blue moon , however I do post regularly at imports 101. Now here's the thing. I own a 1996 Skyline 4-Door GTS-t auto. It has 100,000k's on the clock, is stock except for a pod filter and stereo, and is pretty much in mint condition. I bought it for 16.5k, and have since spent 1200 getting a major service done(timing belt etc). I was planning on converting it to manual down the track, woulda cost me approx 2-3k. Here's the conundrum though. Recently I've spotted the EXACT same car as mine, except manual and one year newer on an import brokers stocklist. Same price, same kays, stock, same down to the last detail. For $16,100. I'm thinking of selling mine to import this one, and I think I could sell mine for more than 16.5k. Do you guys reckon its a good plan? Keep in mind I love manuals. I only bought the auto because I didnt think I could get a S2 coupe for that price. My Car:
  22. Its the body kit, and maybe some trim differences? I'm not aware of any others
