There's no crossfire icon in any game as far as I'm aware? Anyways, I think it was more to do with my unrealistic expectations than anything. I've turned MSAA off and now its pretty much always 120+ fps with Ultra everything so I'm happy with that. I read this on Toms Hardware which was pretty useful to me: Sauce

OK, so I've installed the second card, but I'm not 100% convinced it's working properly.It SAYS that it's around 60fps but it sure doesn't feel that way. Anyone here with a crossfire setup that can give me an approximate frame rate for BF3? Settings are all ultra, at 1920x1200

Hot tip: theres a spell you can buy early on called 'Clairvoyance'. If you ever get lost it shows you which way to go

I keep playing it in bits and pieces when I get sick of BF3. I get the same thing as the Penny Arcade guys.. 'Opportunity Paralysis'. I can't make a decision and stick to it!

Haha sorry guys I went to get dinner, but my mates started playing MW3 in the lounge and I got sucked in to playing that Was a good couple rounds, even though we got flogged (uneven teams for ages!!). EDIT: We should make it a Wednesday thing though.. doesn't matter if people don't show, they'll just know it's on if they want to join

i7 branding is only good for e-penis length Plus it's ~$100 more expensive, not the same price.

i7 has 2 threads per core, plus 2mb more cache. Means virtually nothing for gaming, but some programs that use hyper-threading are much faster. Also only some 6950's can be flashed these days, most now have the shaders lasered off. I was one of the lucky ones, but these days it's a bit of hit-and-miss.

The 2600K is not the flagship though.. i7 990X still is (for some tasks) Sandy Vadge is for mainstream users who want performance at the right price. It's just a little funny how well even a supposedly weaker 2500k will take the fight to Intel's $1k+ 6-core monstrosity..

Yeah, always get the most powerful single card you can afford, then you can SLI/Xfire later if you want

It's because the game rewards you heavily for doing what you're supposed to, it's a lot more objective based than something like COD. Although have to say, I was playing domination on MW3 last night and I found that pretty enjoyable with minimal douchebags

First Impressions: There are thousands, if not millions more phags that play this game than BF3. I'm of the opinion that sniper rifles are overpowered.. one body shot kills, what's that all about? Graphics are much, much shittier. Very smooth though! However, despite the phags and shitty graphics, I still found it to be a lot of fun. Will be better with some mates and beer though

Well, I was browsing the JB website and saw that you can trade in Batman for MW3. No brainer really.. Batman will be fun for a couple of weeks, MW3 will be months at least! Except now my stupid housemate is using the TV grumble grumble. EDIT: If any of you guys wanna play my gamertag is sherbert86

Anyone played the Xbox version? Considering buying it next week, BF3 is great but PC gaming isn't very social most of the time... Also does it support 4 player split screen?

Yeah man, you should not have to pay a cent to redeem your warranty. It aint the PC store's job to do diagnostics anyways, they should just be RMA'ing the board to the supplier
