  1. i think you will find that he has been mislead to a certain degree and its nothing more the a bb high flow. it certainly isnt the same as the graph you have posted due to the nissan front and rear housings been used. that graph is for a complete gt30 with garret front and rear. as DP03 mentioned in FI its not a true gt30 core cause it has a 7 / 14 comp wheel, thats why i was curious as to what the id tag says.
  2. do u have a better photo of the serial no. tag? or do you know what the no. is? i want to compare it to my original gt30 in a nissan housing. i got that up around the 270 rwkw range with the auto.

  12. only making 1 psi, surging and black smoke. none of these symptoms point at a turbo oil seal.
  13. are you taking the piss Cara or you are seriously thinking of putting a 800 hp super charger on your car? ive seen you drive NA and i can asure you with anything over 300 hp you will become a statistic. please be careful.
  14. stick a plastic bag over your afm and then pump compressed air into your vac line up near your inlet manifold. this will pressurise everything and show you where the leak is. often the leak wont show itself until its under pressure
  15. also when you boot it the turbo is working flat out to make any boost, the ebc isnt reading boost from the manifold so it tells the turbo to work even harder. all in all compounding the issue
  16. my bet still on a boost leak, engine and working turbo are unlikely to cause the symptons your describing. however if a cooler pipe expands under pressure exposing a leak, then it all escapes thru the leak, cause its the path of least resistance. ie not compressed. the air flow metre is reading normal because it before the turbo, so it thinks your on boost and therfor tells the injectors to start pumping lots of fuel. however the engine isnt injesting this air due to the leak so it suddenly goes way rich. like 6 to 1 afr's. hence all the smoke, minimal boost , and running like crap when on boost. presurise the inlet sytem before you pull any more apart.

  18. Hi Gary they are the standard nissan restrictors, tap them down into the block and then install the new ones on top of them.
  19. buy the turbo that suits u the best. he is interested in drag racing, so why buy a street turbo. if he wanted to be fully hectic on the street with dose pipes etc then go the 30. otherwise for mph reasons 35 all the way, dont your sheep need milking or something?

  21. so for 500 rpm you have more power with the 30.. but from 7k till 9 k the 35 pulls harder and harder and harder. the 30 dies in the ass thats 2000 rpm of goodness right there not 500 rpm....
  22. Lith can you explain that Honda dyno print out you put up? from what i can see the 30 has slightly more power off boost but once they both start ramping onto boost the 35 keeps going where the 30 stops. is this correct?
  23. both Lee's and Adrian's motors are stock. thats why i thought it was a good comparison. and u have to remember as well there talking a hks 3037 not a garret 3076
