...^^^ so yeah, do a 20 minute run > take your Mum down to the local shopping centre and keep the car revving whilst she's in the bank... I think you're still allowed one call after being apprehended, so yeah, get back to us! We are your alibi lol

Any symptoms? Splutter? Missing? Had anything in or out? Tried to clean anything when all of this happened? Why was it running even at 0.5bar when it should have been 0.8 on a squirt?

Fuel Usage Is Thru The Roof! 16l/100kms
CARSICK replied to drifta1600's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Fuel usage varies too much whilst giving the right pedal the boot. My R33 uses 12l/100Km in everyday driving & the 328Ci uses 9.7 If I do squirts up 'n down mountainsides, they'll both go up between 30-60% That tells us nothing Try filling it up to the brim with 98RON and "zero" the tripmeter > Go for a long drive on the motorway and baby it (since it's an auto) > Fill it up again and check the litres needed to refill, against the number of Kms on your tripmeter. So if you've gone 280 Kms, divide the number of ltres by 2.8 = ___litres/100Km If your usage is still way over 12l/100Km, then other variables above come into play including the O2 sensor. -
I struck an exception to the rule. My daily was parked next to an Aurion. Checking the tyres for chalk marks a couple of hours later, I noticed that my rear bumper corner was scraped and some of the Aurion's paint was on it. The Aurion had been moved nearby. I wasn't expecting much as I rocked up to the cop shop. The young constable said he'd look at the Aurion + my daily, during his lunch hour and get back to me. Later that afternoon, he said that the Aurion driver came up to the station (after the copper left a note under his wiper) and admitted that he should have left a note under my wiper that he'd hit me. The Aurion driver paid the $450 to get a bumper-paint-job. I sent a letter of congrats to the LAC. Occasionally there's justice & empathy.

Just Car Insurance How Good Is It?
CARSICK replied to Tamrb26's topic in General Automotive Discussion
So long as you tell Just Car, Shannons, Famous or Guild Insurance about those mods + and so long as they aren't responsible for an 'at fault' crash, you are still covered. Guild Insurance? If you are part of a business, medical practice, dental practice, physiotherapy practice or pharmacy, they will cover Skylines. And guess what? Premium with Just Car used to be $2068 on maximum 'no claim bonus' for my R33 GT-R & insured for $27K with $600 excess. Premium with Guild Insurance has dropped to $870 for 'agreed value' again, insured for $25K with $500 excess. I just switched!!! Shannons can come close, but only if you're over 30yrs old. Guild Insurance will still insure you if you're 21+ Premium with Guild Insurance is now less than half Just Car. They've only started to insure Skylines in the past couple of years. Choice of your own repairer subject to 2X quotes - in the case of an accident. -

R34 Gtt Missfiring, Sounds Like A Dieing Wrx
CARSICK replied to 2000gtt's topic in General Maintenance
Look closely for any pit or scorch marks around the perimeter of each coil Once one breaks down, others do too, usually in quick succession Check the wiring whilst you're at it to see if they've gone hard & plugs too Replacement coils are easily available depending on where you are - such as from Just Jap etc ie Yellow Jacket, Splitfire etc -

LOL, you already antagonise the Moderators enough without destroying this thread singlehandedly. Where is that thread about how you responded to... "What Mods To Do In Order?"
